Fastforward to January of the next year
Alyssa is in their house kasi walang pasok. Well, meron but its NHS' foundation week so she decided not to go to school. Atleast not go there early.
"Ly, asan ka ba? Bat di ka pa pumapasok?" Kim asked, they're now on FaceTime.
"Wait nga lang, diba? I just woke up." Ly answered. "Si Den?"
"Den agad? Pumasok ka na, hinahanap ka na ni Ms. Karen, yari ka!" Siya kasi yung adviser ng student council.
"Weh? Anong sabi?" Ly asked.
"Tinatanong ka nga samin. We don't know what to say naman kaya dalian mo na lang!" Kim answered.
"Uy, hi, Ly! Bat di ka pa pumapasok?" Ara asked.
"Kakagising ko lang eh." Sagot naman ni Alyssa. "Andiyan na ba si Den? Have you seen her?"
"Well, yeah. Nakita ko siya kanina sa may gym kasama sila Ella at Bang." Ara answered.
"Eh si Mela, nakita mo?" Tanong naman ni Kim.
"Hindi!" Ara said. Mela is Kim's crush na batchmate din nila, ibang section lang.
"Ano ba yan." Sabi ni Kim at sumimangot.
"Sige, I'll hang up na. Maliligo na ko." Ly said. "Bye!"
"Bye, boi! Bilisan mo ah!" Kim said and pinatay na yung video.
Ly went down and saw her dad in the living room.
"Dad, andito ka pa?" Ly asked and sat beside him on the couch.
"Uh, yeah. I won't go to the office today. May meeting ako sa Batangas. Ikaw, bat di ka pa pumapasok? Sabi ni nanay, sabi mo daw mamaya pa pasok mo pero I saw Kim and Ara na dumaan na kanina." Her dad said and sipped from his coffee.
"Uhm, I did it on purpose, dad. I need Den not to see me muna kasi, I'm asking her to be my girlfriend na." Ly said and shyly smiled.
Her dad smiled at her as well, "Are you sure about it na?"
"Never been this certain, dad." Ly answered.
"Well, if that's what you say. You know I'm just all for your happiness." Ruel said and hugged his daughter then kissed the top of her head. "How many months have you been courting her na nga ulit?"
"7, dad." Ly answered.
"Hmm. Pwede na. Madalas din naman kayong magkasama dito, sa kanila at sa school." Sabi ng daddy niya. "Basta, we're just always here to support you."
"Thanks, dad." Ly said and smiled then hugged his dad. "Ligo muna ako, dad."
"Sige. There's food there. Sila nanay at tatay namimili eh." Sabi ng daddy niya. "Kain ka na lang after mo maligo." Ly just nodded and went back to her room to take a bath.
While taking a bath, Alyssa was thinking of a lot of things. Can she do it properly? Can she do it without passing out? Can she even talk to Den when she arrives at school? Would Den say yes?
"Ugh. Alyssa, you're thinking too much." She told herself and just continued taking a bath.
After taking a bath, she went to her walk-in closet. She sighed when she only saw black shirts hanging, but smiled immediately when she remembered a shirt she has that she hasn't worn in a long time. Its a white shirt from her mom. It was given to her last year on her last birthday with her mom. She remember her saying, "Wear this on the most special day of your life, Ineng. That one magical moment that would change your life." She was kinda confused why she said that, but now, she understands it. She smiled and kumuha ng isang faded jeans from her closet. It wasn't ripped, tho. She wore her favorite white shoes and faced the mirror after. Her look is very different from her usual get up, but she loves it as much.
