"Babe, gising na." Den said as she removes Alyssa's blanket. "Babe, sige na. Aalis na tayo maya-maya."

"Ugh." Sabi lang ni Alyssa. Her head is throbbing with pain because of getting drunk last night. "S-sakit ng ulo ko."

"Kaya nga bumangon ka na diyan. I made a tea for you. Inumin mo na para mawala sakit ng ulo mo." Den said.

Ly sat on the bed and inabot yung tea from the bed side table, "Did I do something stupid last night?" She asked as she sips from the cup.

"Wala naman. Except for this." Den said and threw her phone to Ly.

"What's this?" Ly asked.

"Panoorin mo." Den answered.

Alyssa played the video and her eyes grew wide when she heard her say her two truths and a lie last night.

"Bro, I was drunk. I didn't even remember saying that. That's invalid!" Ly said and threw the phone at the edge of the bed. Den just smiled at her. "Di totoo yan."

"Well, that's what you want to believe, edi sige. At kahit naman hindi totoo yan, I know Deej will still do something para maging okay kayo." Den said.

"Bakit parang kinakampihan mo pa yung unggoy na yun?" Ly said with her forehead creased.

"Kinakampihan. Bakit, magkaaway ba kayo?" Den said. "I'm not, okay? Alam mo naman na I'll support you and your choices, no matter what. Pero, wala rin namang masama in giving him and your parents a chance, right?" She said and smiled at her.

"Meron. Masama yun." Ly said.

"Bakit naman?" Tanong ni Den habang inaayos yung mga damit nila kasi nga uuwi na sila at aalis dito ng tanghali, after lunch.

"Paano kung pag binigyan ko sila ng chance, i-take advantage nila? What if di na nila ako ibalik kila dad pag nakasama nila ako?" Ly said as she continues to drink her tea.

Den said. "Okay. Eto ha, lets say, worst case scenario, ipa-kidnap ka nila tas dalhin ka sa Baguio or sige, sa ibang bansa. Do you honestly think na hindi ka makakauwi? Yung pocket money mo araw-araw, kayang bumuhay ng isang pamilya sa loob ng isang buwan,"

"OA." Ly said.

"You know I'm not. And isa pa, sa sikat mong yan? Sa tingin mo kung itatakas ka nila from us, walang magsusumbong na nagwawala ka or dinala ka nila ng walang malay or whatever it is na alam kong tumatakbo sa isip mo ngayon. There's no way they can take you away from us kasi mahuhuli at mahuhuli sila. Public figure ka, babe. At hindi 'to cartoons or teleserye na laging api ang bida. Totoong buhay 'to and you gotta treat is as one." Den said. More like a sermon. "Tingin mo ba talaga, hahayaan namin nila tito na ilayo ka nila samin? Ha? Ha?"

Ly shook her head, "Lazaro-Valdez family tandem is so strong to let that happen." She said while staring at the blanket infront of her.

Den smiled, "Oh, alam mo naman pala eh! Stop worrying, okay? I know gusto rin naman ni tito na makilala mo talaga sila."

"Eh si mommy? Gusto niya kaya yun?" Ly asked.

"Hindi ko alam. Ask her." Den answered. "We can go to her pagka uwi natin."

"No, I'm gonna ask her now." Ly said. She finished up her tea and stood up, head still aching a bit as she looks for her wallet with her mom's picture in it.

"Do I need to leave muna?" Den asked.

"No. I need you to hear what she'll say." Ly answered. Den's a bit weirded out kay Ly pero she stayed. Ngayon niya lang 'to makikitang gagawin ni Ly.
