"Ate, sasabay ka ba samin?" Jus asked Den. School started already. Den got in Ateneo with Ella.
"Uh, no na. I'll check on Ly pa. 10 pa rin naman class ko eh." Den answered. "I'll probably just take a cab diyan sa labas." Their mom's at work already. They hired a driver na kasi for Jus and Mosh since they got a new car nga.
"Sige, una na kami. Ingat ka." Jus said and hugged her ate. "Mosh, paalam ka na kay ate!"
Mosh came running from his room, "Bye, ate! Take care!" He said, sounding so excited.
"Why do you seem so excited?" Den asked.
"Nothing." He said and went out. "Ate Jus, lets go na!"
They both went out and saw Mosh na nakikipag-usap kay Kian sa tapat ng bahay nila. They saw Kian gave Mosh a red rose and their eyes grew wide.
"Oh shit. Looks like he was serious dati." Jus said.
Mosh went back infront of their house and saw his sisters staring at the rose.
"Good luck, Mosh! Ate Ly told me red roses really work. See you later sa school! Hope she likes it!" Kian said and went inside the car where Tatay Max is waiting.
"Tara na, Ate Jus! Malalanta na yung rose ko!" Mosh said.
"Hep hep hep!" Den said.
"Hooray?" Mosh said and laughed along with Jus and Kuya Ramon, their driver.
"Not funny." Den said and glared at them. "Para kanino yang rose na yan?"
"Basta, not for you, ate. C'mon, we're running late!" Natatawang sabi ni Mosh.
"You're not going until you answer my question. Para kanino yan?" Den asked.
They heard the gate of the Valdezes open and they saw Ly went out.
"Let him go, babe. He's doing something important today. Right, Mosh?" She said and smiled then nakipag-apir pa kay Mosh.
"Yes. And I really need to go." He said and quickly went inside the car. "Lets go, Ate Jus!"
Jus just went in, "Una na kami, mga ate! Bye!" She said, Kuya Ram blew the horn and they left na.
"You knew about that?" Den asked pagkaalis nila Jus.
"The rose came from me." Ly answered. "Aww! Hahaha." She said kasi kinurot siya ni Den sa tagiliran.
"Pag yun nagka-girlfriend agad. Lagot ka kay mommy." Den said.
"Tita knows, FYI." Ly said and smiled. "Ikaw lang naman may ayaw eh. Let him be. Nagbibinata eh."
"Nagbibinata, 9 years old?!" Den exclaimed.
"Ano gusto mo, magdalaga?" Ly joked which earned a slight slap on the arm from Den. They can have this kind of conversations pa rin naman. "Anyway, I need to go, babe. Late na naman ako."
"Who will drive you?" Den asked.
"No one. I'll commute." Ly answered.
"No, you won't." Den said.
"Yes, I will." Ly said and paparahin na sana yung padaang tricycle but Den stopped her.
"No, kuya. Hindi po." Den said. Napakamot namam sa ulo yung driver. "Sorry po!"
"Yan kasi." Ly said. "Babe, late na ko sa first subject ko, promise."
"Bat kasi ngayon ka lang?" Den asked. "How many times did you brush your teeth?"
"8." Ly answered and sighed.
"And how many times did you wash you hair and hands?" She asked again.
