Just like what I remembered, the heroine was carried by her long lost father.

It was the talk of the royal estate.

His majesty himself, king of the Luville Kingdom, held a mysterious child throughout the travel.

The story progressed with me not doing anything to ruin the flow. With the mother who boldly claimed that the heroine was his daughter in front of Edmund and his people. She almost died from speaking something that should be discussed privately.

I have no recollection of how they confirmed that the heroine was Edmund's daughter and I have no interest. Right now I've been making the library my own room. Working on my homework and doing research about the late queen and the Goddess of Light.

A year passed by without much conflict, yet. I haven't met the new princess and the mother, and it seems that Edmund didn't want to let me meet them and vice versa. He would glare if I utter a word about those two.

In the story, the heroine's mother and Edmund got married after the heroine's debut. As of now, Edmund didn't acknowledge the mother as his wife nor a concubine at that.

Today was my unlucky day. I met the second princess, my half-sister.

This was the east wing of the Emerald Palace, why in seven hells she's here? I know that Edmund prohibited the mother and daughter to step on the east wing since this was where my lessons take place and the largest library in the royal estate that I always go to.

There was also a library on the west wing, so why?

Seated on my favorite spot near the window, I made eye contact with the person who just arrived.

"Si–. . . Are you my sister?" She had the distinguished gold-like blonde hair and a pair of brown doe eyes making her look innocent in every angle. At first glance, she looked plain but the closer you look she's quite cute.

My hair on my arms stood.

"Magnolia," I spoke the heroine's name with a quivered voice that she didn't appear to notice.

"You know my name?! I'm so happy! I've been wanting to see you~" She walked closer to me with shiny large eyes. "Wow, you really are beautiful just like what brother Aiden said."

It sounds like their getting along very well. . .

"I. I'm sorry! Did I offend you?"

". . . Huh?" Was I frowning just now? I immediately schooled my face and asked in even tone, neither hostile nor welcoming. "What are you doing here?"

Even we're the same age and few months difference she's shorter than I expected.

"Oh! I'm looking for brother Aiden. He promised me that we'll play today," she said cheerfully. "You should join us. It's bad if you're always staying inside, you know."

She knows I'm always at the library, huh. Looks like Aiden told her or perhaps my activities were being reported to the mother and daughter.

I pretended not to hear her invitation. "Aiden's not here and you shouldn't be here."

Her smile disappeared, her eyes cast down. "I'm sorry," she said quietly.

I feel a bit sorry from I what I said but I was just speaking the truth.

"If you already understand then you should be careful next time and not to step on this side of the palace," I said and stood when I saw Bwi arrived carrying his assignments.

He had the same look when I first saw the heroine, surprised and at the same time confused. She hasn't noticed Bwi since her back was facing him.

"It's not a mistake!" She said it more loudly but not near to shouting.

"What?" Not a mistake. . ? "You. You went to this side of the palace just to find Aiden even you very much know you're not allowed to?"

"Yes! I don't think what I did was wrong. I'm also father's daughter but why can't I go anywhere I want?"

There was also another rumor going around the royal estate. Everyone was comparing the first princess and the second princess when it comes to academics. I wasn't fond of people knowing I was good in my studies that's why I became the dumb one here.

I tilted my head. "You're not as bright as the rumors say."
