Gavin

Loud sounds from speakers pound my buzzing head. The DJ's now playing womanizer by Britney Spears.

I'm in a VIP room in a club with Shane. Both of my sides are occupied by hot chicks whose hands are exploding my body. At the next table is Shane with a woman who looks like 40 or so.

"Hey Shane. I brought you a present."
A seductive female voice sounds.
"Hmmmm. What is it?"
Shane replies as horny as her with biting and licking her ears. I can clearly hear their hot breaths mingle, which disgusts me. I mean, why don't they just rush into the restroom and fuck each other's brain out instead of performing a foreplay in front of me? I don't get a fetish for watching my friends' having sex for fuck's sake.

The woman, then, slowly pulls out a piece of paper from her purse while moaning from his assaults. It's a marriage registration. Shane, on the other hand, doesn't seem to notice her action. Here it comes.
"You'll be graduating from high school, right? We can get married right after that."
Her words vanish his sex drive in a flash, and he quickly moves away from her. Her face is now covered with panic from his dramatical change.
"Thank you for everything. It was fun."
Only with those words, he takes her to the exit with her not being able to comprehend the situation.

"Whoahhhhh, man. That's harsh."
I shake my head being fed up with the same routine of his when he comes back to his table.
"Well, at least I love one woman at a time unlike you, Gavin. How many girls are you dating now? 20?"
He challenges me.
"Close. It's 21."
He shakes his head just like I did.

Yes, we are womanizers, so what?

I hear the door open and Hero emerges from it.
"Hey."
He says in a low voice.
"Hey, man."
Shane and I reply at the same time.
"Isn't Ross here?"
His voice is laced with rage, which lets us know something bad clearly happened between them.
"I haven't seen him. What's wrong?"

Then he told us the whole story.
"I see... But Ross's a bit of prudence, you know? So I think he couldn't stand with that kind of abuse. And I would do the same thing had I been in his shoes."
Shane states. Yes, he probably would.

"Yeah, I know. And even I know rape is bad, Hero. What were you thinking?"
I question him even feeling a scorn for him.
"I didn't order them to rape her. I just told them to do whatever they need to eliminate her from this school!!"
He shouts with standing up on his feet. He runs his hand through his hair, which is a sign that he's frustrated.

"Hey bro. Why are you in such a bad mood?"
Shane asks in confusion.
"This game never ends unless that bitch leaves."
Hero growls. His knuckles are white because of his anger now.
"Calm down, Hero. It's just a game, isn't it?"
I assure him but it does nothing to sooth his temper.

It wasn't long after that he left us without a single word. What's wrong with him?

Josephine

Due to my nap earlier, I woke up in the middle of the night. Tossing about in bed, I thought a glass of water might help me go back to sleep. I get up from my bed and pad to the kitchen so to not make a noise.

When I was about to enter the kitchen, two whispers were heard from inside. Mom and dad. I feel bad for having yelled at them after all those sacrifices they made. I made up my mind to apologize to them and my feet has already in the air to step out when my name was said in their conversation.
What are they talking about?
I make myself all ears.

"These shrimps in chili sauce look so delicious, Elizabeth. Can I have a taste?"
"No, Stephen! They are for Jo."
"Yeah, my bad."
"I made her favorite foods for tomorrow's lunch. But I'll put some in yours, too."
"No, just put them all in hers. It will look more gorgeous if more shrimps are in the lunch box, right?"

I feel tears stream down on my face. Why am I so lucky to have such amazing people as my parents? The tears don't seem to cease falling, so I hurry back to my room before they notice about my presence.

The thrones of my heart pulled out one by one as tears drop on my bent knees in front of me on my bed.

I don't know when I fell asleep last night, but when my eyes opened again, a bright sunshine was lighting up my face. I was afraid that My eyes would be ugly-red-puffy eyes from all the crying yesterday, but it wasn't the case to my relief.

It's finally lunch time and I find a seat at the corner of the cafeteria. Opening my lunch box I take in the luxurious Chinese foods which are my favorite crammed in it. She is by far the best mom, I'm sure as hell.

Indulged in a happiness alone, I stub one of the shrimps with my fork. The moment the shrimp dived into my mouth, something blocked off the light from above. On the floor I can see shinny black shoes whose toes are directed toward me.

Oh. My. Lord.
A chill runs down my spine.

Please don't be him. Please don't be him.
I pray for every single god from every single religion.

With the tiniest hope, I slowly move my eyes to see who's standing in front of me.

My gods weren't fond of me in the end.

It is none other than him.

Hero...
