*5 Months Later*

*Frank's P.O.V.*

"Gee, I'm home!" I announced as I walked into the house.

"Hi!" He walked over to me and kissed me, "How was work?"

"It was okay. How was your day?"

"Long and boring." He walked into the kitchen, putting away his mug.

"We gotta go see Dr. Catalina today." I stated.

He didn't answer.

"Gee?"

"What?"

"Did you hear me?"

"Yeah, I did."

"So, come on. Go get your jacket and your shoes."

He did and we left.

When we got to her office, she greeted us. Gerard didn't say anything to her.

"Okay, so I'm gonna talk to Frank first, okay?"

Gerard left the room while I sat down in one of the chairs across from her desk.

"So has he been staying with his brother like you planned?"

"No, not recently. He's getting better. He's happier than he was. I wanted to see if he'd be okay on his own."

"And if he's not....?"

"Then he'll go back with Mikey."

"Gerard needs change. What you could do is change it up. One week: he goes with you to work. The next week: he stays with his brother. And the next week: he stays home. But he needs change. He doesn't like the same environments."

"I don't know what to do when those get boring for him to be in."

"Just do it the way I told you for a few weeks. He should be better by then so he can go places on his own without falling apart."

I nodded.

"So how do you feel about this whole thing?"

"I'm scared for him. But I'm happy for this. I kinda like coming home not knowing what gonna happen. But at the same time- I hate it."

"That's normal. It happens a lot."

"I need to know he'll be okay."

"He will be."

I took a deep breath.

"Frank? There's something I need to ask you."

I looked up at her.

"You don't want him on pills, and you say he's getting better on his own, yes?"

"Right."

"Okay. Well, with him getting better on his own- it's gonna cause him to fall a couple times. Now, there is a way we can prevent that from happening. But it requires the use of medi-"

"No."

She nodded in understanding. "That's what I figured."

I was silent.

"Okay. You should know that the worst is behind you two. There should be no more bad breakdowns. Just small ones here and there. After those they should only be panic attacks. But- depending on the situation- they shouldn't be sever."

"Okay."

She smiled. "Alright! Let me just do Gerard's check up and you'll be good to go."

*Gerard's P.O.V.*

Frank and Dr. Catalina came out of her office.

"Ready for your check up?" She smiled at me.

I nodded and got up.

Frank and I followed her to her work station. I sat down on the hospital bed and waited for her.

"Alright, just stay here. I gotta go get my equipment." She left.

Frank sat up and walked over to me, putting himself in between my legs. "You okay?"

"Mhm." I nodded.

He put his hands on my sides. "Gee?"

"Hmm?"

"I'm back!" Dr. Catalina came back.

Frank moved away from me. He sat down in the seat he was in earlier and looked at the floor. I glanced at him every now and then.

Toward the end of my check up Dr. Catalina picked up a needle.

"Okay stay still, okay?"

"No, what are you doing?!"

"Calm down."

"No, leave me alone! Don't touch me with that!"

Frank got up and came over to me. "Gerard, baby, listen to me calm down. Its okay. You'll be okay."

"I don't like needles, Frank. You know that."

"You have to do this. Okay? It'll be real fast. Just look at me. Focus on me."

I looked back at the needle, Frank pulled my head into his chest. "It's gonna be really fast."

I felt the needle at my skin and began to cry.

"Shhh, it's okay, Gerard."

The needle dug into my arm, I cried harder. "Stop! Stop! It hurts!"

"I know baby. Hang on a little longer. You're almost done."

I cried into his shoulder. "Frankie, make it stop!"

"Okay, Gerard you're all done."

I relaxed a bit and let Frank hold me for a bit.

"Alright, I'll see you in two weeks guys!"

Frank and I got up and went home.
