Elizabeth sat in the library, Spanish textbook and notebook out. She had earbuds in as she was waiting for Justin, he was almost 10 minutes late. She stopped her music, about to text Justin, before she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked behind her to see Justin grinning widely and waving. Quickly taking her earbuds out, she watched him sit and take his things from his backpack.

"Okay, lets start, what do you need help with?" She questioned. "Is it translating or do you need to write something in Spanish?"

"I need spend the next few weeks writing a letter to someone of my choice, about anything, in Spanish." Justin read out his assignment. "Isn't this middle school shit?"

"It depends what route you take. You could write to your best friend about what you did over summer, your parents, your loved one." She suggested, reading over his assignment as he clicked a pen repeatedly. "Who do you want to write it to?"

"I'm not saying, you can read it when it's finished." He teased. "But I'm gonna ask you what a few words are in Spanish." She nodded, deciding to do her own work. She pulled out her biology text book, continuing her notes whilst Justin began his letter. She heard a huff every so often, scrunching papers and throwing them away from the table.

"Maybe make a plan?" She asked sarcastically, glancing up at him. He rolled his eyes at her, trying to hide his smile. She slid his notebook over to her, making a mind map of ideas for the letter. "What kind of things do you want to include?" He bowed his head and slid the notebook back to him, hiding his sheet as he scrawled notes down.

They spent a while in the library, Justin asking for the translation of words and giggling erupting from his mouth. She remembered earlier, talking to Zach, who told her to speak with Justin about what happened. So she did.

"Justin," she whispered. "We need to talk." He looked up, placing his pen down and interlocking his hands. He knew what it was about, he just hadn't figured out what to say. Usually a kiss wouldn't keep him up all night, but this one did.

"Last night, I'm sorry for kissing you. I don't know what came over me. I guess I was emotional about Jess, I'm really sorry." Justin explained. "Can we not bring it up around Jess? Things are surprisingly good between us." He said everything she was hoping he would, a smile on her face. She nodded and continued her notes.

"Zach!" Elizabeth called out, waving him over to her car. He caught a glimpse of her waving, rushing over. "I spoke to Justin, he said he wanted to keep it quiet from Jess, so we're good to go." Zach embraced her, smiling happily at her.

"My turn," he replied. "Tonight, we're going to the Crestmont to watch a movie. That's all I'm telling you." Elizabeth was taken aback by his confident attitude. She nodded along, getting into her car. This sudden plan gave her some time to shower, find a nice outfit, and tell her dad she was going out.

Zach: I'll pick you up at 6.

What do I tell my dad? He's going to ask 20 questions about where I'm going, who with, when I'll be back, etc...

Zach: Beth, tell him it's a date. With me, if he wants to, I can come in.

I'll talk to him, usually he's not so strict.

Zach: See you at 6.

She had showered, opened her wardrobe to skim her outfits, jeans and a tied top, with some heeled boots. Zach was far too tall and she wanted to feel at least a bit of height compared to him. Her hair was very high maintenance, sprays, hair products, straighteners, a lot of work to make it look somewhat decent. Her dad has just walked through the door as she put her phone into her purse.

"Qué pasa?" Her dad asked, placing his keys onto the dish beside the door. She smiled nervously, checking the time. 5.54pm.

"I'm going on a date, with a boy, in 5 minutes." She mumbled, avoiding his gaze. She'd never really been on a date or had a boyfriend, so she didn't know how her father would react to something like this.

Lindo!" He exclaimed, kissing her forehead and cheering. "Can I meet this boy?" Elizabeth nodded, pulling her phone out of her pocket.

My dad took it well, he wants to meet you.

Zach: Um, wow, I'm nervous now.

After a few minutes of her dad talking about work, there was a knock at the door. She had opened the door, Zach dressed nicely in jeans and a nice sweater. With a nice pair of sneakers. Her dad opened his arms, cheering as he embraced Zach. Elizabeth widened her eyes, catching Zach who's nerves seemed to melt away.

"Dad, this is Zach." Elizabeth stated, stepping out of the door. "We won't be long, see you then!" She walked up to Zach's Audi, getting into the passenger seat. She caught a glance at her dad by the door, who was waving.

Diviértete, mija!" Her dad shouted as Zach drove down the road, on their way to the Crestmont.
