Her alarm was buzzing, making her head pound even more. She'd woken up with the biggest headache, but fought her way through getting dressed and ready to leave.

Tony: Morning, Reyes, how're you feeling?
I saw the pictures at school and couldn't find you yesterday.

I'm fine, I just have a headache.

Tony: Picking you up in 10.

With a sudden rush, she'd shoved her feet into her shoes and waited outside. The heat had been worse for her headache; as with everything else. The sound of cars, the wind, the heartache from losing her new friends over a misinterpreted picture. Tony's beauteous car arrived outside of her house, honking. A second later, she heard him shout a "sorry". She laughed and got in, plugging her seatbelt in as he began driving.

"Do you have any idea who might have taken the picture?" Tony asked. She didn't know many people, the jocks, Tony, Clay, Jess, and Justin. So she couldn't point fingers at all. She just shook her head. "And what did Justin say about this?"

Hearing that question brought all the feeling back to the surface. "He said we should stop being friends." There was that silence again, a stupid silence she had gotten used to.

"I'm sorry that happened, but you'll always have Clay and I, to get away from the jocks." He laughed, he had made her smile, her headache disappearing for a while. She had entered the school with Tony, Clay joining the duo at her locker as she took out her book for class.

"Has that thing gotten louder?" Elizabeth asked, wincing as the bell rang. Clay hummed in response, stopping at a classroom door.

"This is me, see you guys."

Tony has found his class, Elizabeth wandering around for her own. Communications class. With Zach, which put a smile on her face. But when she sat down, she realised by the empty seat opposite her belonged to Justin. Every time, she forgets she has a class with him. He walked in, smiling at her, but quickly averting his eyes as he had proposed they no longer be friends. It made for an awkward class.

"Why do I sense tension at this desk?" Zach asked. Everyone had stayed silent, their eyes wandering around the classroom. "Are you guys not talking?"

Elizabeth didn't have the patience to at least look happy, she was mad at Justin and felt immense pain on her skull. "No, we're the best of friends, we're playing footsies under the desk right now." Justin laughed at her sarcastic remark, still not making eye contact with her. Zach, being the gullible giant he is, peered under the desk and rose back up with a disappointing look on his face.

And both Justin and Elizabeth laughed, locked eyes, quickly gazing elsewhere. She knew this made it look like they were hiding something, which made it more suspicious to other students.

"Well, enjoy your lovers feud, I am actually going to do my class work," Zach stated, picking his pen up. Writing a singular word, he looked up at both Justin and Elizabeth's shocked faces, rolling his eyes and chuckling. The duo joining in.

After class, Elizabeth tried to leave as quickly as possible. But Justin managed to catch up with her, the one thing she didn't want. The only reason she sped off so quickly. "El, I'm sorry if this has created a feud."

"There is no feud, Justin. It just creates suspicion now that we are avoiding each other, but if it's what you want, that's fine." She explained, beginning her walk to her locker. But he stopped her again. "What now, Justin?"

"I didn't mean for it to end up this way, of course I want to be your friend. But Jess was on my ass about it, saying you were stealing me and ruining our relationship, and I can't be bothered to fight with her anymore."

She sighed, grazing her finger over the small patterns on her rings. "That's your call to make. If you want me to avoid you, I will. I don't want to ruin your relationship with Jess, but I don't see how avoiding each other is helping." He finally let her go, watching her walk down the corridor to her own locker.
