Side to side, both boys walked comfortably but also slightly awkwardly, their destination being Taehyung's bus stop.

Jungkook couldn't help but check up on him every few seconds since he was still extremely concerned.
You don't see your crush having a panic attack every day, do you?

The situation kept replaying over and over in Jungkook's head.

He got a text message.
He unlocked his phone.
He read the message.
Something about that message seemed to trigger something inside him.
But what could it be?
Who sent him the text message and what was in it?

He could hear the beautiful boy sigh next to him. "Are you still worrying about me, Jungkook?"
With a caring twinkle in his dark orbs, the younger eyed Taehyung from head to toe, checking if he showed any signs of being in pain physically or mentally.
Luckily, there were none.

"And what if I am?" The older groaned, trying to sound annoyed even though in reality, he did appreciate Jungkook's concern. Just a little bit, of course.
"No need to worry. I'm fine, this was just a little... slip, I guess."

Jungkook frowned.
"Didn't seem like just a little slip to me. Is someone trying to hurt you? You don't need to tell me anything, just know that I--"
The brunette halted in his step and held his shoulder.

"I appreciate your concern, I really do. But there are some things I'd rather not tell. And also, will you stop acting like some kind of rescuer, please? I'm not a damsel in distress who's waiting for my knight in shining armour to help me." He rolled his eyes, making the ravenette laugh nervously.

"Too bad. I wouldn't mind being your knight in shining armour," he remarked cheekily, making Taehyung roll his eyes, even though his lips couldn't help but show a small smile.

"We're at the bus stop now. You're free to leave," he spoke as they arrived at a small, kind of abandoned-looking bus stop, the paint already peeling off the metal and making it look shabby.

"Nuh-uh. What if something happens to you while you're waiting for the bus? I can't take that risk."
Taehyung half-laughed, half-scoffed.
"Your logic doesn't make any sense, what if something happens to me when I'm sitting inside the bus?"

"Good point, I should take the bus with you and accompany you all the way to your front door," Jungkook remarked smugly.
The brunette groaned.

"Seriously? Why are you acting like a legal guardian? You're not my dad."
Suddenly, a dirty smirked appeared on the younger's face.

"I may not be your dad, but I can be your--" He got interrupted by a very distraught Taehyung who slapped his hand in front of his mouth.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence."

"I wanted to say 'protective boyfriend' but whatever, I guess," Jungkook's voice came out as muffled through the other's palm still pressing against his mouth.
Before the older could respond, Jungkook kept on talking, or trying to talk.

"You know, I don't really mind having my airways blocked by you but your hand is kind of making it impossible to breathe, so would you mind...?"
Despite his voice not coming out as understandable as the ravenette wanted it to be, Taehyung widened his eyes and instantly removed his hand from the other's mouth, alarmed.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry!" He wiped his kind of-damp hand on the fabric on his trousers, turning slightly pink out of embarrassment.
"Aw, angel. It's fine." Taehyung looked up shocked after hearing that nickname.
Angel? Jesus Christ, how many damn nicknames has he called me by now?

And all of a sudden, they could hear the distant rumble of a large vehicle, a bue. Disappointment instantly filled Jungkook's body since he wanted to spend way more time with Taehyung.
