Early on I handled all of Nosti's trade negotiations, and I have had trouble growing out of the habit. I suppose that is why every caravan or hunter that passes through our gates knows my name. Some still insist on speaking with me personally. But I do not mind. I find these dealings rather engaging. It is like playing a game of words.

One such caravan arrived yesterday bearing a haul of metal ingots. Our venerable captain has suggested that I bring a contingent of guards to the negotiations, but I would rather not. If our guests are intimidated, they may back out and I would be remiss to waste such an opportunity.

Al principio manejé todas las negociaciones comerciales de Nosti y tuve problemas para dejar el hábito. Supongo que por eso cada caravana o cazador que atraviesa nuestras puertas conoce mi nombre. Algunos todavía insisten en hablar conmigo personalmente. Pero no me importa. Encuentro estos tratos bastante atractivos. Es como jugar a un juego de palabras.

Una de esas caravanas llegó ayer con un cargamento de lingotes de metal. Nuestro venerable capitán sugirió que trajera un contingente de guardias a las negociaciones, pero preferiría no hacerlo. Si nuestros invitados se sienten intimidados, es posible que retrocedan y sería negligente desperdiciar esa oportunidad.
