Old habits die hard. I suppose I'm living proof.
I woke up stark naked who knows where with who knows what lodged in my arm, but just weeks later and I'm already back to robbing folks at gunpoint. This place may not be Texas or the Arizona Territory, but I'm the same John Dahkeya.
I don't know why that makes me restless. I didn't mind this life before, but then I didn't exactly choose it. I just stumbled into it, or at least that's what I told myself. So much for that. Maybe this is just who I am.

Me desperté completamente desnudo quién en sabe dónde y quién sabe qué se alojó en mi brazo, pero solo unas semanas después y ya he vuelto a robar a la gente a punta de pistola. Puede que este lugar no sea Texas o el territorio de Arizona, pero soy el mismo John Dahkeya.
No sé por qué eso me inquieta. No me importaba esta vida antes, pero tampoco la elegí exactamente. Simplemente tropecé con esto, o al menos eso es lo que me dije a mí mismo. Mucho para eso. Quizás esto sea lo que soy.
