"You're just taking Marley? What about Jake?" Violet questioned while discussing potential new members.

It was the next Monday, and as, basically, student director of Glee Club, Violet could voice her opinions to Mr. Schue about who should and shouldn't be in Glee.

"Jake was great, but after talking with Sue, I think he might be more trouble than he's worth."

She raised an eyebrow, "And you're serious? You're taking advice from a woman who knows barely anything about Glee and show choir?"

Mr. Schue sighed, "She's a proven champion, Violet. She helped us win at Nationals."

"Yeah, but she hated practically all of us. I mean I know we're the hottest club at McKinley at the moment, but that doesn't change the fact that out of those 28 auditions, only two of them were good and wanted it."

"Do we even know that Jake actually wants this though? How are we supposed to rebuild the club with a troublemaker who won't even listen?" he countered.

Violet replied, "I mean you trained Puck, didn't you? From the stories I heard, Santana and Quinn definitely did not want to be in Glee. Hell, I can't even imagine what a sophomore year Rachel Berry was like."

"Yeah, but that was the first year of Glee. We didn't even win Regionals that year. We have a National title to defend now."

"Which is why we should stick with what you know! Glee isn't just about winning. You of all people should know that. This club helps change lives. I mean, I know it did for me. I really think that Jake is worth the investment. I think that he's just a misguided teenage boy who could really use Glee to grow," Violet tried to reason with him.

He sighed, "Look, why not... why not we just accept Marley now, and if I see Jake improve, then we can let him join. We still have a lot of time before Sectionals. There's still time, okay?"

"Okay, fine. But... please at least explain to the kid why he didn't make it in. I have the feeling that that's what he'll need."

Before school started that morning, Mr. Schue posted his finalized list of Glee members which consisted of only one new member.

That day in Glee, Violet walked into the choir room to see Kurt laying out rows and rows of sheet music. She just sat down next to him, "You really need to go to New York."

Kurt just rolled his eyes, "Let me just organize this sheet music in peace."

"Nope. I'm making a resurgence of my annoying you about this. You know why? Because the Kurt Elizabeth Hummel I met on the first day of my sophomore year would start yelling at you too."
