Chapter Thirty-Seven 🎭 Parasomnia 🎭
"So, you ran a background check, and all you found was a speeding ticket?" Odette asked as she, Malia and Stiles walked up the stairs to the school. "A speeding ticket signed by Theo's dad eight years ago." Stiles said and Malia nodded slowly, "Which means what?"
"Who speeds? People trying to get away from something!" Stiles said as he stopped and turned to them making Odette and Malia look at each other with raised eyebrows. "Well, how many tickets do you have?" Malia asked and Stiles scoffed, "None." He said making Odette hum and nod. "How many would you have if your dad didn't get you out of them?"
"Seventeen..." He said making her nod, "That sounds more believable." She said and he shot her a look. "I don't know, Stiles... I mean, I see why you're worried- he's really hot. He's got like great hair, perfect body... You should definitely feel threatened." Malia said making Stiles squint slightly while Odette chuckled, "Mal, I dont think you're making him feel any better."
"You want me to torture him?"
"No, I don't want you to torture him!"
"I'm pretty sure I can take him."
"I have a plan, all right? There are steps to doing this right." Stiles said making Odette furrow her eyebrows, "What steps?" She asked. "We get the story, verify the facts. You find the piece that doesn't fit. and... And catch him in the act. That's how you do it." Stiles explained when then sighed when someone caught his eye.
Odette and Malia turned around to see Theo closing a car door before turning around. When he noticed them looking he smile and awkwardly waved. "Why are you so suspicious of this guy?" Malia asked and Stiles sighed, "Because I remember Theo from fourth grade, okay? That's not Theo." He said and Odette sighed softly.
"Well, if you're so sure about this then I'll keep a wary eye on him." She said making Stiles look at her slightly shocked, "Really?" He asked and she nodded and shrugged. "Yeah, I trust your judgement. And since I've met you, you've been mostly right. So if you say someones not trust worthy then I wont trust them." She said and he smiled fondly at her before she grabbed his hand.
"Come on, I would like to get to my locker before the bell rings.

Odette walked into class but slowed to a stop when she noticed Scott sitting down next to Kira. She looked over at Lydia and Kira who also looked just as confused. "Scott...?" She asked slowly making him look up, "Are you in the right class?" She asked and he looked at her wide eyed. "AP Biology?" He asked and she raised her eyebrows.
"Do you know what AP stands for?" Lydia asked and he smiled, "Advanced Placement." He said before opening his text book to show a bunch of highlighted sentences and sticky notes making Odette hum and look at Lydia and Kira shocked. "This is new." She said before sitting down next to Lydia as the teacher walked in.
