Chapter 58

Jarrett POV

Jarrett looked at his opponent, eyes bored. "HEY JARRETT! DID YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A FANCLUB IN SCHOOL?" called Kelvin. "They're filled with girls who like you. Well...some just like watching you battle. One of them is right before you," chuckled Sophie. 

Jarrett's bored eyes slowly looked at the girl before him. 

"Ezanne right?" he asked as he yawned.  She nodded slowly and he looked at the crowd of girls, seeing some girls squealing. "Hey why don't I have a fanclub?" Andrew whined. "Wah- Why do we even have fanclubs???" gaped Felix. "Speak for yourself Felix, you have a fanclub too," retorted Hanlu. "Hey, do I have one?" asked Sumedha. "Yeah, and so does Kelvin," Sophie replied. "Oh and you do too," Felix said, pointing at Sophie.

"So all the original rangers have fanclubs?" asked Hanlu. "Why is this even our topic???" Andrew complained. "I dunno, maybe because a fan of Jarrett is fighting him? Wait, why do people fangirl over him?" Sophie hissed. 

"Ask the people who think fangirling over Kelvin was a good damn idea," teased Sumedha. 

"Shut up," grunted Jarrett, shooting the Rangers a glare. Sophie and Kelvin rolled their eyes and huffed, while the two rookie rangers instantly kept quiet. Felix just looked away and Sumedha looked like she was about to slap herself. 

"I just noticed how the other Rangers aren't here," observed Andrew. "Shut up let's just get the battles moving," Kelvin grumbled.

Ezanne threw out her dream ball, and out emerged a Vivillon. "Just because you're a...fan? I won't go easy on you," sighed Jarrett as he threw out Flaaffy. Flaaffy let out sparks as it released a bolt of electricity, which all the Rangers except Kelvin managed to dodge. 

"Jarrett I'M GOING TO MURDER YOUR SHEEP!"

"DON'T YOU DARE!"

"BOTH OF YOU QUIT YELLING!"

"SHUT UP SOPHIE!"

"RAGH!"

Instantly they were all held back as Jarrett writhed furiously. "Let's just battle- Why are you laughing?" Jarrett looked at Ezanne in confusion. "I- uhm well...haha," she stuttered awkwardly. "That explained nothing," muttered Jarrett. 

"Battle begin!" called Sophie.

"Flaaffy, electro ball," commanded Jarrett. Instantly, Flaaffy broke into a sprint, jumping up and forming an electrical ball, firing it at Vivillon. Vivillon got hit pretty badly as it tried stabilizing. "Poison powder!" called Ezanne. Vivillon took off again, fluttering above Flaaffy and sprinkling purple powder on top of Flaaffy, who began coughing viciously. 

"Flaaffy, confuse ray," grunted Jarrett, who looked annoyed. Flaaffy shook it's head furiously before it released a ghostly ray, which struck Vivillon, confusing it. "Vivillon, gust!" Ezanne called out, her voice quivering. (Who knows whether it was excitement or fear)

Vivillon tried to focus as it shook its head from side to side, trying to shoot a blast of wind at Flaaffy, but hitting itself in confusion, taking itself out. "I will admit I have never seen anyone's pokemon take itself out," he said, feeling a bubble of laughter begin to form inside him. 

Ezanne began to panic as she looked at her pokeballs. "Uhm, I pick Greedant," she stuttered, hurling out a net ball. The Greedent was chonky. 

"Flaaffy, electro ball!"

"Greedant, body slam!"

Flaaffy was faster as it swung it's tail and fired an electrical ball at Greedant. The chonky squirrel got up and ran forward, crushing Flaaffy. As it got up, Flaaffy looked slightly traumatised. "Thunder wave, now!" called Jarrett as Flaaffy waved its tail, releasing a wave of electricity. This paralysed the chonky Greedant.
