"I've never been an uncle before" Jake says
"Yeah no shit Sherlock, that's because I don't have any kids." Tom responds
"Now, now boys. Don't argue infront of your niece and nephew." I laugh Out loud and for a moment, i forgot where I was Because I'm so overwhelmed with happiness, for a moment I forget about Hailey and her current state of unconsciousness.
Suddenly there's a nurse in the door way, "are you Hailey's family?" She asks and everyone in the room looks at her, worried, at what she may say next.
"Can you come with me please?" She calmly says, hardly any emotion in her face making it difficult to read her.
Everyone nods and follows her to Haileys room as quickly as they could.
"What's wrong?" Asks Tom
"Is she okay??" Jake badgers
"Are you just going to ignore us this entire time? Or are you going to do your goddamn job and tell us what the hell is going on with Hailey?!" I demand her.
"Will you just stop talking and follow me to Haileys room? Please? You will all find out once you get there, quit being so difficult and just do as I say, yeah?" The nurse snaps
"Quite unprofessional but understandable, I suppose. We're just so worried about Hailey, she's the love of my life, a sister, a mother now. She means a lot to so many people. We're just worried is all..."I quietly reply
"I understand that, but there is something you three need to see. So will you please stop talking and just follow me?" The nurse explains softly in a more gentle voice
Tom , Jake and I all three quickly and quietly follow the nurse to Haileys room, we were not prepared for the sight that we were about to see..
