Our MC was a cosmetic surgeon in his past life, while coming from a traditional chinese medicine background so he has both western and eastern medicine knowledge. After dying, he rebirths to a magic and cultivation world. Although he is born into one of the four great Clans, he is detected as 'waste'/no magic talent from birth so his family did not value him and sent him to live outside. Years later, our story starts when MC's fiance cancels their engagement.

While living outside, MC established a cosmetics business and also built a reputation as a 'Ghost Doctor' who performs cosmetic surgery for people who wants to be beautiful. This is his secret identity. Later, ML's family found the Ghost Doctor to help cure ML's Uncle who has a brain tumor (when Light magic is used, the tumor also grows faster so its useless). MC performs surgery and saves ML's Uncle's life. Later, MC also has more business in the Capital and has more contact with ML as the Ghost Doctor and...ML falls for the Ghost Doctor XD XD XD

MC is very very petty XD so although he doesn't mind that ML broke off the engagement, he feels miffed since ML did not come to cancel it personally which is very disrespectful (in fact, ML also did not know that his engagement was broken, he was only informed after the fact) So MC keeps playing with ML saying that the Ghost Doctor and him have a very close relationship XD XD XD So ML thinks MC is his love rival. Anyways, MC's family find trouble with him and removed him from their Clan. Later, MC reveals his magic talent which is Light and Dark magic (it was not detected by the instrument cos his elements are opposing each other), his identity as the Ghost Doctor and his huge cosmetics business. MC's subordinates were also revealed which can be said to be like him, they were all from big clans but was expelled/harmed when they were still children. Each of them has their own backstories which readers and MC find out as the story goes on.  MC gets more and more powerful, helping his subordinates revenge, expanding his business. Meanwhile, ML is busy chasing after his wife that he used to be engaged to XD XD XD

Quick summary: Capital Arc - MC reveals his power while Yi Fan (one of his team) revenges on his family. Scary! But also cool! Like MC, Yi Fan is also detected as a waste because he has opposing elements (water and fire) but unlike MC, he was not sent out so he grew up being bullied. He endured it until his Family also broke off relations with him so when he is revealed as one of MC's subordinates, his family can't seek benefits from MC' business. The MC is sent to another country and one of MC's subordinate's MTX past is revealed (Yi Fan's side CP~~) then MC is sent to a seaside county and...yes, another subordinate BLY past is revealed~ (He is half-mermaid) then the last subordinate QH also goes to for his own revenge~ and bring back a husband. So by now, all of MC's subordinates is married and ML is pressured cos he and MC is still engaged!! Not married! Lololol. Laters, MC finally agreed to the marriage.

They also go to another world where magic does not exist to find an herb/grass so MC and Yifan can advance to Saint Level (those with opposing elements can't reach the Saint level), they stay there for a couple of years (MC's medical skill is always relevant) and also get a magical fruit that can give birth to little buns!! After getting the herb, they go back to their magical world, MC and group are more powerful now, they also open up a business with the magic-less otherworld, everything is nice and peaceful~ Extras is MC and ML's son and Yi Fan and MTX's son from childhood to getting married XD XD (His son is faster in chasing his wife and ML)

Like I said, don't expect that much emotional development, the blushing and heartbeat feelings, but ML is really funny when chasing MC. Actually all of the gongs, are a bit silly for their shous XD The running theme seems to be... a family would harm/expel a member of the clan/tribe then they would become excellent people that the clan/tribe would regret that they harmed/expelled him. I love MC. he's very sassy and since he actually didn't get bullied, he didn't do anything harmful to his family, but he also did not give them any benefits from his own achievements. For the others, Yi Fan might seem more vicious because he did it with his own hands but its just to his own family; For MTX, his whole clan was affected; for QH revenge, the clan was quick to give up the 'culprits' so no extreme harm was done to his clan.

I love MC's sassiness. But my fave character is Yi Fan (potential yandere) and my fave backstory is Qi Heng, fave gong is of course...our ML, let's give him some credit XD  I guess, if there's any...complaints, it's that author-sama always uses the female characters who is inlove with the various gongs as cannonfodder/source of conflict. Is this gender discrimination? Arrange for a gay cannonfodder too! XD
