Impressions: I've actually read/MTLd this way way back. Same author as Entertainment Industry Acting Emperor, Very Happy, Ascending, Do Not Disturb etc. Just decided to reread now that its completely translated.

So our MC was really unlucky in his last life. There's a rich second generation targeting him, investors who want to do 'hidden rules' with him, his business gets reported, then he dies in an accident. After rebirth, MC tries to avoid his roommate who confessed to him (reason why rich second generation is targeting him) and apply to a different company which he knows will be successful later.

Our MC has numerous skills from his previous jobs in the last life, plus he's a high achieving student so he does well in his job and soon becomes ML's special assistant. Our MC is really good. He's smart, handsome, has good social skills, rich! (won the lottery/bought ML's company's stock/invested in movies etc), good at his job etc. He is so good that when ML's friends find out that ML likes MC, they're not surprised and even thinks that ML may not be so worthy of him (lol). ML crushing on MC is cute though ^^ They're not really lovey-dovey sweet romance, but more like a slow burn... ML slowly moves our MC with his love and sincerity.

There are villains/cannonfodders (rich second gen) and some conspiracies are revealed which MC didn't know about in the previous life. However, I like that MC just decided to live his own life with ML and not enter this 'muddy water' (No to dogblood!) MC is already a winner-in-life even without the family background. 

Read this for peaceful novel with winner-in-life MC~ (Author-sama is not a stepmother). MC's character is quite similar to the MC of Entertainment Industry Acting Emperor, in which he isn't as good a person as he shows on the surface. MC will take revenge too, but his whole rebirth won't center there) I really like author-sama's works~ Reading Don't Discriminate Against Species next.
