Synopsis:

Xie Chi is a patient with multiple personality disorder. On the surface, he is educated and gentle but the secondary personality is cold and powerful, with explosive strength.

Xie Chi can never fall in love because the secondary personality is his boyfriend.
Xie Chi's only dream is to one day embrace his lover.

In order to realize his dream, Xie Chi voluntarily bound to the Horror Movie Actor App. The app regularly releases horror movie notices such as Spirit in Red Clothes, Zombie Lovers, 1552 Haunted House...
The selected actors will be placed in a real horror environment to survive.

On the first day of filming, the first male lead with a dirty personality blocked Xie Chi in the corner. "Follow me and I'll help you be the second male lead."
Xie Chi smiled softly and shook his head. "That isn't enough."
The first male lead was dumbfounded.
Xie Chi smiled slightly. "Brother, help me beat him up."
The secondary personality gave a cold smile to the first male lead.
End of the shoot, the first male lead: Xie Chi.

Impressions: Ahh!!! It's soo good! Read this awhile back with Card Room while it was still ongoing, now that it's completed, I read it again from the beginning ^^

So our MC is a split-personality. His second personality is his boyfriend/gong. MC's wish of course is to give his gong his own body. And the Supernatural Movie Actor App found him because of his strong wish/obsession. He has to enter horror movies, unravel the plot and survive to harvest points. When he earns sufficient points, MC can redeem his boyfriend's body.

MC is OP because he's very smart/clever so he can quickly unravel the plot + his second personality/gong is super strong in combat, they can switch seamlessly so he's got both brains and brawn which is why he always finishes first place in the horror movies. MC gets caught up in a conspiracy inside the app cos the organization who created him is also there (Yes, MC is 'manufactured') and labeled MC as a 'betrayer', along with the current Movie Emperor (Side CP gong!) whose wish is to destroy the organization.

Arc 1 -  Spirit in Red Clothes (Chapter 1-17) - Our MC's first movie.  It's about a female boss who will always hire temporary workers during the Ghost Festival. And all of the temporary workers will die... MC's role is one of the workers

Arc 2 - Zombie Lover (Chapter 18-42) - MC is one of the Taoist disciples who has to transport a zombie corpse to a wealthy woman. This movie has 2 pairs of couples/(zombie) lovers and also has 2 endings.

Arc 3 - Horror Skewer (Chapter 43-68) - A horror variety show where MC has to experience multiple short movies(?), there's one about a severed sixth finger, then a female highshool student ghost, and last is a hide-and-seek game with ghosts.

Arc 4 - 1552 Haunted House (Chapter 69-98) -  MC and group is invited to live in a haunted house. #spoiler There are 2 ghost sisters and an animal camp. Be careful of what you eat and don't believe in ghosts.

Arc 5 - Living Hell (Chapter 99-119) - My favorite arc/movie cos MC's gong is out! Their soul is sent to Hell and MC as split personality has two souls. Lots of PDA/Dogfood ❤ Movie plot: their goal is to escape hell/get reincarnated/enter Elysium. Business war turn philosophy about life~~

Arc 6 - Hospital (Chapter 120-149) - Confusing. Movie with parallel world theory + Schrodinger's cat plot elements. Also, very exciting! MC is a doctor in the hospital and meets his past and alternate (dead) future selves.

Arc 7 - Tarot Game (Chapter 150-174) - MC confronts the organization's boss. Movie plot: Their goal is to prevent the witch from reincarnating by preventing her from killing them in the correct death order. Tarot cards + Egyptian beliefs about death plot elements

Last Arc - Chapter 175-179 - #SPOILER MC becomes movie emperor. He gets his wish + unlocks his past memories of being a demi-god. Also explains why MC became a horror painter and ML/his split personality's origin.

Extras - Chapter 180-184 - MC's life as the new movie emperor in the app. And the side CP story about the previous movie emperor (the one fighting against the organization) and his good/kind/gentle little shou. (Ex-movie Emperor side CP gong has entered my list of likable characters but still scum gong). HE. 

It was fun, I like horror so I enjoyed every arc. There are fight scenes in the movies so its very exciting (fighting against ghost/other actors etc) plus there's also plot exploration for mystery solving. There were some parts where MC will overturn all his previous conclusion based on new clues so it kinda felt that author-sama might be making it up along the way, but then it'll connect to something previously mentioned so it would also feel seamless like author-sama has always meant for it to be like this. Find the underneath of the underneath. Lololol. 

A bit similar to To Be a Heartthrob in a Horror Movie cos MC also enters horror movies, but this has props/fighting for survival (you're really dead if you die in a movie) so more intense.
