Synopsis:

One day, when Xiao Tang read a semi-autobiographical book that smeared his male god's name, Xiao Tang angrily threw the book and ended up passing through.

A book separates the two worlds, on one side is the 5G era, and on the other side is inside the book named "Thank you, for your love in 1999."

Tang Jinyu, a 17-year-old high school student, has shrunk to a small toddler. He tries to step on a small stepping stool to see the world outside his front door, but he ends up seeing his male god carrying a schoolbag passing by...

He lives next door to his male god =口=! !

Impressions: I didn't notice that this is from one of my fave authors until the other CPs from author-sama's past works suddenly showed up XD XD XD Ahh... I haven't posted Back File 1988 and Rewind 1995 review here, will reread it again first :3 So far, all of her works I've read has 'childhood sweethearts/MC & ML grow up together' theme.

So our MC treats ML as his male god since he was able to graduate from school because of his company's scholarships. Our ML happened to be an infamous hacker and MC is curious about his life (He's dead now) so he bought an autobiography book, but the book was actually half-fictional, its like having ML as the main character and he was so miserable! MC was angry!! Then he gets transmigrated inside the book as the child of ML's neighbor. XD

MC became a 'fool' child, his motor skills are slow. His parents love him very much though. After MC transmigrated, he slowly got better, and even became a music student of ML's father to improve the dexterity of his fingers. Chance to get close to his male god!! Then...MC starts to forget things, and become a real 5-year old child. He writes down a short note for himself before he forgets then hides it away. After he completely forgets, what's left is his admiration for ML and an impression of his previous life grandpa. Then, him and ML grow up together. ^^

Their families became close and ML guards MC like the rest of his family. ML is still a hacker god and starts his own company and MC would sometimes inadvertently give suggestions cos he feels like 'it should be this way' so the development of technology is somewhat more advanced than MC's original world. Anyways, MC & ML are as close as brothers. Then ML starts to like MC but since MC is still young, he is prepared to wait. Then MC confesses to him first XD XD XD

Laters, MC finds the note he hid and he remembers his past-life memories. And he wants to find his previous life grandpa. He wants to tell ML but "a mysterious force" is stopping him, he can't say or write it out. Finally, MC went into a coma and he went back to his original world and spend his grandpa's last days with him then he goes back to the 'book world' and he was able to tell ML about it now. ML finds his grandpa for him, they have a reunion. MC goes to college as promised, him and ML are together now.

Extras are just some daily life, how MC & ML came out to their parents, MC went camping with ML and met ML's former enemy(?) (but MC identify him as ML's #1 fan XD) then there's also a Mermaid AU arc where MC gives birth to a little mermaid (cos MC is Xiao Yu/Little Fish). Pretty cute.

I really like this. I love childhood sweetheart couples and despite having this setting in author-sama's 3 books I've read, it does not feel repetitive at all. Here ML basically raises MC; while in Back File 1988, the MC & ML grow up together (same age); in Rewind 1995, MC & ML are apart but they keep contact, the shou is the Big Brother there~

Actually, this doesn't feel like a rebirth, cos MC becomes a real child soon enough, an adorable little bun! So I feel like this falls more on ML raises MC trope. MC & ML reaaally feels like Brothers at first, no romantic vibes but its still sweet~ If you like an MC being doted on by his family (instead of being abused), you'll like this ^^
