Synopsis:

The ugly ger Hua Zizhou was forcefully given to Qu Qing, a village gangster. With two ragged clothes as his "dowry" and a child with different coloured pupils who was considered a monster by the outside world, Hua Zizhou despairingly thought that no one would accept such a disreputable and ugly him.

But to his surprise, the so-called unscrupulous gangster let him and his child into his home.

Impressions:  Quite short. I didn't like it that much but I didn't hate it either... (would still recommend)

So our MC's mom need  huge hospitalization fees. MC meets a mysterious employer who will give him 3 million in exchange of a 10-year contract. MC arranges his affairs for the next 10 years and then agrees. He gets sent to ancient times and became a village gangster who used to be rich but he squandered his family inheritance. 

Before MC came, original verbally molested shou. Shou's mom pushes shou to marry the OG cos shou has a reputation for being ugly (he has pimples) plus he also picked up a kid with different coloured eyes and no one wants him. MC didn't inherit the OG's memories so there was a bit of misunderstanding and he thought that the kid was the original's child. He accepts them with a kind of 'roommate mentality' and swindles info from shou about farming/the village they lived in etc. 

The kid and shou are very very...inferior. They haven't been treated well so they immediately latch on to MC's kindness. Shou also develops feelings for MC but MC knows that he's gonna leave eventually so he tells shou not to fall for him. MC's family is now poor so he needs a career so he becomes a teacher in the village. Laters, him and shou get together. He also develops a paper mill and helped the whole village to become rich. Then, 10 years is up. He goes back to modern times and sulk a bit cos his wife is not with him anymore. 

Meanwhile, in ancient times, #SPOILER OG comes back and shou's memory is tampered with...but he feels WRONG, he feels like his husband shouldn't be like this. He won't hurt him etc. He rallies the whole village and tells them that his husband has been possessed (Lol) and the immortal (MC's employer) has no choice but to rescue the scene. He sends shou over to modern times. MC and him meet then gets together. HE.

It's quite typical. MC gets sent to ancient times, he goes farming, has a career (teacher) and laters, business (paper mill). Our MC is kind of a tsundere with an S streak. He doesn't like to say affectionate words and likes to bully/tease shou. Their early days of getting along was fun. Shou and the little bun was cute (and kinda pitiful) in their thoughts/actions. Only MC's first year was really tackled/mentioned. After he became wealthy, it was only stated that him and shou would travel all over the country etc. but no more specifics. (Too bad~) Aside from being an S, MC is also a bit of...white lotus (hahaha), there's his kindness to shou, the lil bun, the hunter's kid, to an abused wife/neighbor... There's also this...'wronging himself' for his mom, when he couldn't tell his mom (at first) that he's gay cos her health is not good. (He did tell her later~)

Other things I didn't like: I felt like the village MC went to/transmigrated to, is NOT a good village. The way the villagers always like to take advantage of others and stuff. (Poor Hunter kid) There are good villagers too but I guess the negative side made more of an impression on me. And lastly, the REASON why MC transmigrated in the first place. It's a shitty reason. Arrrgghhh.. The immortal/MC's employer even had to send shou to modern times in order to cover it up. 

Overall, this is just okay for me. There are better ancient times novel with gong MC. But if you're just looking for a short read (less than 100 chaps) then this will do.
