Synopsis:

After his half-brother escaped from marriage, Zhuo Yang became the princess of the disabled prince.

Impressions: From the same author as After I Got Married, Those Who Betrayed Me Were Reborn, this also has a disabled/disfigured ML.

Our MC is an unfavored guide in a huge family. After his half-brother elopes with MC's fiance, MC has to fulfill his half-brother's engagement to the royal family. The target of the marriage is the disabled Crown Prince. This is actually all part of MC's plan since likes our Crown Prince ML. After they get married, he starts wooing ML by showing his sincerity and doing everything in order to heal him.

Laters, ML is moved and after he is healed, they become a couple for real. Then some politics/country management, faceslapping evil relatives, and discovering MC's life story. Before finally ascending to the throne becoming Emperor. Ending is MC & ML having twin little buns.

I was planning to continue bingereading completely translated novels when I saw this on one of the recs on NU for sentinel/guide novels. I mean, I've seen this before but my impression was only that this could easily be mistaken for a BG novel because of the title. The synopsis as well is so short, it really didn't catch my interest. Anyways...

I like MC's character. I was especially impressed that he was so...forbearing in order to execute his plan, and its not because of rebirth or knowing the plot ahead of time, but really because he is cunning. ML as well, he remained kind/gentle and didn't become one of those paranoid/violent types because of his disability. Its distressing that he became quite self-discriminatory though because of his disfigured appearance.

At first, I had mixed feelings for MC cos he wasn't so...clean. MC has quite some means, he will use people, and he's very very ambitious, but he's completely sincere to ML, almost fanatical. Lol (like one of those crazy fans) and has a bit of possessive streak. There is actually lots of room for misunderstandings on some of MC's actions, but they avoid that because MC is completely honest to ML. MC will tell him everything so he is aware of what MC's actions mean.  The plot is okay, since its royalty, there is some politics/competing for the throne. Then there's also MC's life story/real identity and the unexpected-but-not surprising mastermind behind the scenes.

Overall, the plot is just okay for me, I liked it more for MC & ML's character. The guide/sentinel setting is there and it played some role but its not all pervasive, main focus is still governing the country/politics/fighting against the villain's plot.
