So our MC rebirths back to when he was 15 y/o, and newly orphaned. There was a dispute on who would take his custody/be his guardian. In his last life, he chose his Uncle on his Mother's side. As a result, his inheritance was all used by his Uncle's family while making him feel that he is not good and it is only natural to be disliked. He even went to prison for his cousin. After getting out, he was killed by the victim's family. In this life, he chose the unknown 'Brother' from the same father (not!). Although MC is technically a 'grown up', but he spent his teenage years being introverted then later in prison so he is really out of touch with society like a real kid. Very innocent and well-behaved ^^

ML really likes his new little brother. MC is very very dependent  and sticky on him cos he really likes the feeling of having a family. Laters, there are little signs that ML is slowly falling for MC but he is controlling himself not to cos MC is a minor XD After an accident almost happens to MC, ML throws caution to the wind and decided to confess his love...but fails cos our MC is so dense!! Plus he classifies ML as his 'brother/relatives' so his mind never went to that direction. Laters, ML straightforwardly confessed and MC is willing to try to be with him. He believes that his familial love to ML will eventually become romantic love. Then its just ML & MC deepening/developing their feelings for each other.

On being non-related brothers, it has to do with the dogblood previous generation grievances. ML Mom met a scum and got pregnant. Scum already has a wife so ML Mom married MC Dad who has always been inlove with her. Years later, ML Mom dies/gets killed by Scum's wife. MC Dad raises ML like he is his own son and gives him his surname. After ML Mom's death. MC Dad meets MC Mom and got her pregnant, BUT he promised his first wife to only have ML as his son so he wants MC Mom to abort the baby. MC Mom is ANGRY! And leaves MC Dad and had MC alone~ MC follows her surname. So even if MC and ML have the same Dad in their household register, ML is not really MC Dad's biological son so they're not blood related. MC and ML's take on this is to let go of the past, but of course, if they continue to bother their lives*cough* SCUM *cough*, then ML would not hesitate to revenge.

The cannonfodders are MC's Uncle (the one who became his guardian in the previous life), ML's Uncle (MC Dad's brother) and his son, and laters ML Dad (the SCUM) also shows up. These cannonfodders are pitiful, and yes, they're evil...but blame author-sama for also making them pitiful (esp. ML Uncle's son who went crazy)
