As the God of Cooking, Du Ruo has been living peacefully in the kitchen temple in the wilderness, but through some accident, he became an idol group member of the same name and body.

He waited and waited,  but in the end, he only got a special appointment letter signed by the Heavenly Court.

As a last resort, Du Ruo could only enter the reality show arranged by his agent as "Du Ruo.". 

But after seeing the neatly arranged pots and pans and the dazzling array of vegetables and fruits in front of him, Du Ruo couldn't help moving his fingers.

Impressions: ​Hmm... its okay. Everything is...logical and nicely wrapped up. But there were some things that was unnecessarily dragging (for me).

So our God of Cooking MC somehow enters the body of the 'vase' of an idol group. While guesting in a variety show, our MC shows off his cooking skills and his career starts to pick up. In the first place, the original was being suppressed everywhere by his company and agent. Fortunately, the other members of the group has no opinion/grudge against him and th​​eir group's relationship starts to get better after MC came.

So our MC's cooking skills are significant in the first half(?)/quarter(?) of the novel. And our ML also has #spoiler anorexia but he can eat if it was MC who cooked the food so MC's cooking skills are highlighted. But laters, after MC's idol group disbanded and he slowly walked to the acting path, the cooking skill/anorexia setting slowly faded away, and even the mysterious golden thread (which MC could see since he was a god) was never mentioned again. It became all about MC's acting career and the troubles he encountered cos of the person plotting against him (which took a loonnng time to find out) Feelings also developed between MC and ML; and MC has accepted his hunch that he IS the original from the very start. Laters, we find out which little bastard was targeting MC and why. (Should I spoil? Okkayy) It was the new shareholder of MC's company cos they were *gasp* switched at birth. They let him jump around some more, until #spoiler MC gets into an accident and MC biological parents finally solve this little villain.

Entertainment circle is always fun but I feel like since its MC from beginning to end (#spoiler MC and the original is the same person), what's the use of previous life 'God of Cooking' rebirth? It could've been just a normal rebirth/counterattack instead~ Or God of Cooking and the original is not the same person AT ALL. Buutttt I guess, our MC in THIS LIFE (vase MC) has no skills whatsoever so he needed his past life self to 'awaken'. 

Like I said, MC's cooking skills are significant in the first part of the novel, and I dooo love a good food porn (º ﹃ º )  but later, MC's God of Cooking identity slowly fade out and it became just a normal entertainment circle~ (I miss the foods) I can't help but compare it to Master Grim Reaper Makes His Debut in Center Position where our MC also has a special identity and it was relevant from beginning to end. I also feel that it took them quite a while to clean up the little villain that I almost forgot he  even existed and it even gave him the opportunity to harm MC again and again. 

MC and ML romance is gradual, and ML's personality is really cute (on the inside), he opens a trumpet/small account in Weibo and fangirled about MC (like the ML of Superstar Aspiration) which also added many sweet and funny scenes in this story. 

Read this for food porn, a cold-faced (but secretly fangirling) ML and entertainment circle~~
