Synopsis:

Wēn MíngYì has a next door neighbour childhood gege (elder brother). His gege is wealthy, handsome, and powerful, and would spoil him. However, under the influence of the novel, Wen MingYi staged a cold war fraught with scorn and ridicule with his gege for three years.

At long last, the three years were over. Wen MingYi was about to make amends with his gege when, pushed by the novel's main character – slam – he died.

After his death, Wen MingYi realised that he and his childhood gege were merely side characters in a novel. He had to die to complete the main characters' true love relationship. Because of his death, his gege turned into a villain, becoming a stepping stone for the main characters' true love, and who eventually got reduced to a penniless person who lost his family and life.

Wen MingYi could not take this lying down, but! He realised that he reincarnated! He had been reborn at the point when the white lotus main character was preparing to seduce his gege!

Wen MingYi hurriedly ran to his gege, wanting to tell him to cherish life, to get away from the white lotus.

The clock sounded at 9 o'clock, and he found that he had turned into a cat.

Wen MingYi was shocked. He got closer to his childhood gege and shouted: "Ge, ge......"

But the voice that came out was, "Meow, meow, meow meow meow meow......"

Sī JūnDuó looked at the didi (younger brother) who suddenly turned into a cat, stunned.

Anyone who associates with Si JunDuo is aware that he cares greatly about Wen MingYi, whom he had grown up with. He never retaliated no matter how much Wen MingYi raised trouble with him.

Half a year later, Wen MingYi who had been sharing the same bed with Si JunDuo as a cat everyday, stated that he should probably go back to his room. Si JunDuo grabbed his hand, "Just stay here. So our MC has a brother who has taken care of him since childhood. In the first life, they had a cold war when he was in highschool, almost reconciled after 3 years but because brother ML won't cut off ties with the white lotus, they still kept fighting. Laters, during an argument, white lotus pushed him and he got ran over by a car and died on the spot. ML wants white lotus to surrender to the police but his True Love won't let him because 'white lotus didn't mean it' (yuck!) ML tried all kinds of ways to send white lotus to jail but True Love is there to block his way. At the end of the book, he went for murder-suicide with True Love but True Love didn't die, instead, he finally secured white lotus's love. Happy ending (yuck!) Lol. I hate this couple.

So our MC rebirth after the 3-year cold war. He went back to ML's house (they live together) to reconcile but they had a fight because ML was going to the movies with white lotus. This time, they were still fighting, rather, he wants to convince ML not to go! Then he turned into a cat! And ML didn't go to the movies anymore~ From then on, MC would either turn into a little kitten or a Husky after 9 o clock. He wanted to talk to ML about his rebirth but the words get censored (lol)/he can't say it no matter what. So MC promised to make peace with ML if he cut off ties with white lotus. ML agrees and stop contacting white lotus. So began the days of harmonious brotherhood + MC's cat/dog life every night~~

Since they sleep together in a bed (cos MC turns into a cat/dog at night), ML began to notice our MC's charm~~ But he stops thinking about it, cos HE CAN'T. MC and him are too close so he can't fall inlove with MC otherwise, it might destroy their present close relationship. Meanwhile, MC also gets back his previous regrets, he re-enters the entertainment circle (in the previous life, he did but he got blackened and was kicked out by his company), but this time, ML helped him choose a good company, good resources etc. etc. Anyways, he was smooth sailing in the entertainment circle this time. MC also gained the ability to understand/talk to cats and dogs (He found out that there would be an earthquake thanks to the dogs. Awesome!) MC encounters small cannonfodder villains but he solves them himself or ML helps solves them (mostly True Love who is acting behind-the-scenes). White lotus is shown from time to time being crazy jealous of MC thinking that he doesn't deserve all the fame, the fans' love or ML's care (He's so disgusting cos he really thinks it should be him instead cos he's so caring to ML or he's such a kind and gentle person not spoiled like MC *rolls eyes* Ugggghhh.) and he hints really subtly at True Love to make trouble for MC (True Love's big bro has to deal with ML's revenge each time cos ML retaliates to True Love's family business cos that's where True Love's money and influence come from)

Anyways, there's also some family interactions, either with ML parents or MC parents. Background: MC Mom and Dad are world famous photographer and director. They retired when MC was born and when MC became 12 y/o, they restarted their career again and left MC to live in ML's house, so from 12 y/o onwards, ML became MC's only family (ML family is abroad and comes home during New Years only). MC also entered the entertainment circle to catch his parent's attention and it finally happened in this life (MC Mom and Dad also helped him become more famous without revealing that he was their son. They just claimed to be Mom/Dad-fans of MC XD) and some romantic development between MC and ML when MC realizes that he doesn't want to separate from ML ever! He doesn't want ML to have a person who is more important than him so he will become ML's most important person (MC chasing ML was reeeallly cute and ML enjoyed his clumsy efforts before they finally got together ❤)

Meanwhile, after bringing trouble to the company again and again, True Love was kicked out by his Big Bro and Big Bro began to test white lotus if he is really sincere to his brother (He's not!). After an argument, white lotus pushes True Love and he gets ran over by a car! (sounds familiar). White lotus escapes and the good citizen driver brings True Love to the hospital. True Love went into a coma and Big bro catches white lotus to take care of him and talk to him so he  would wake up. Laters, he tested white lotus again (#SPOILER True Love woke up but he won't believe that White Lotus tried to ditch him after he got ran over by a car, saying 'he didn't mean it' Uggggh) by telling white lotus that if True Love didn't wake up, he will take care of him until he dies. Then white lotus...tried to kill True Love (by smothering him with a pillow). True Love finally woke up and realizes what a disgusting person white lotus is. 

Both True Love and ML also has dreams about the past life. After the plot completely changed, (white lotus went to jail), MC stopped becoming a cat/dog every night. Ending is #SPOILER MC and ML coming out to both their parents that they're together. Extras is MC & ML appearing on a variety show to scatter dogfood XD, then ML's proposal, their marriage and coming out in public.

This was sweet and funny. MC is cheerful and spoiled. ML is really really REALLY doting to MC, he has deep feelings for him and always consider what's best for him first. He's like MC parents/big bro/boyfriend all rolled into one. The becoming cat and dog/ability to talk to animals also added a lot of fun~ Like MC rescuing a bunch of dogs from dog-traffickers or coaxing the cats in the set to cooperate with the actors XD (I wonder if he also lost the ability to communicate after the book plot was completed, it was never mentioned again after so maybe he did.) For me, this was more sweet than heartwarming unlike author-sama's other novels (maybe because there are no little buns?)
