Synopsis:

General Huo suffered a great deal of humiliation. He laid in wait for three years before he shed his cicada skin and returned to the Great Jing. He treated his crippled legs, and three months later, he led his army to storm the enemy's capital. He slaughtered the emperor, razed the capital, and finally beheaded that tr*sh of a cutsleeve, displaying his head on the city's walls for the next three years.

Since then, the world has been united.

A certain university's history lecturer received a graduation thesis depicting the legend of Huo Wujiu, and he wrote a full page of criticism for the student.

Then he blinked, and he was transmigrated into the body of that cutsleeve prince.

Impressions: Another ancient times novel to MTL~ This time, its a court drama~

So our MC is a history professor. While checking a student's thesis, he read about General Huo's (ML) unofficial history, how he was humiliated and made into a concubine by the enemy country and after he escaped and got healed, he revenged to the Prince he was married to. 

Since its undocumented/unofficial, our MC criticized the thesis and lo and behold, he transmigrated into the 'Prince' on the day of his wedding with our ML XD In order to keep his life and not let anyone be suspicious, MC kept the original's mean persona, but because he's not used to it, he sounds incredibly awkward when he's 'bullying' ML XD

The original is the Emperor's younger brother, but because the previous Emperor (their Dad) pampered him/doted on him, the current Emperor hates him. The Emperor's Uncle also targets him at the court. They also target ML, and in order to protect ML, our MC has to compromise/agree on some of their demands. ML still has some contacts outside so he hears about MC's actions...plus MC's clumsy attempt in being mean, he understands that MC is helping him. Then he overhears MC's excuse to a servant, that he likes ML (OG is rumored to be gay) that's why he doesn't want to force him. So every time MC helps ML, ML thinks its because MC likes him XD And...he's moved.

Laters, they frankly confessed to each other and ML learned that MC is not gay (OG is also not gay. He just did that to escape the Emperor's eyes) and he just wants to cooperate with ML that's why he's helping him. But at this point, ML already likes MC. Laters, MC also fall for ML. Some court intrigue etc and ML seizes the throne then gives it to MC. Laters, ML becomes the Queen/Empress. (Sorry lazy :P)

I like it. I like our MC's clumsy attempt at being mean (cute! >///<), our ML's misunderstanding (lol), how MC fights back at court. Probably cos MC is a history professor, he tries to keep the original flow of history (except for the humiliating ML part) and never got ideas on getting the throne/preserving their dynasty. I mean, the Emperor is a clown and the Emperor's Uncle is disgusting, there was the option of seizing the throne but MC's thoughts are all on...ML's country will eventually annex their country. Also because of this, he feels incredibly guilty when an official who is suppose to live peacefully suddenly got dragged into the faction fight because of him. Laters, MC got over it and becomes more proactive in changing history, usually to help officials/general who he knows will be wronged/die unjustly.

Our ML is also cute. Lol. (The author notes are funny XD) ML being MC's concubines becomes a running joke between the two of them XD (He keeps telling MC to make him the main wife! lol) Of course, he also has his own troubles but its just mild drama (no angst). Found the Extras, I still wish that MC's other concubines were given more screentime since they were pretty interesting.
