Sammy's POV

I parked my car in front of the hospital. I could see Shayne's parents car parked a few up. I sighed getting out of the car. I don't know why I was mad, Shayne's and I aren't married. So of course his parents would be called first, right? 

I entered the hospital and went to the front door. I automatically saw Shayne's parents as I entered the small waiting room. I was told on the phone that he broke his leg during one of the drills. His sergeant said that he would have to complete book camp at a different time.

"Hey" I said walking over to his parents

"Hey hun" His mom said

"How is he?" I asked

"Physically he is fine" His mom said

"Ego wise not so much" His dad said laughing and I chuckled 

My mind started to wander as I sat down with Shayne's parents. Thinking about all the times Jack and I were in and out of the hospital. I don't know why my mind went to him but it did. 

"Did you guys here that there is going to be a pretty bad storm tonight" Shayne's dad said 

"I didn't know that" I said

"Hopefully we can get Shayne out of here and get home before that happens" Shayne's mom said

"We got a cast on Shayne and he will be able to go home" The nurse said

"Perfect" Shayne's dad said as Shayne came out on crutches.

"Do you need help, hun?" His mom asked

"I'm fine, mom" Shayne said and I got this bad feeling. We all started to walk out towards the cars.

"You want to meet us at our house?" His mom asked

"Yeah" Shayne said

"I have to go home, I work" I said clearly lying, Shayne knew it.

"You don't work Fridays" Shayne said

"Covering a shift" I said

"Sure" He said rolling his eyes

"She can go home and I'll go with you guys" Shayne said as it started to rain

"Fine" I said and I started to walk towards my car as I could hear the crutches following me

"What the fuck is up?" Shayne asked

"I thought you would be a little more excited to see me" Shayne said

"I never said I wasn't" I said

"What's going on?" He asked

"You had them call your parents first, why wouldn't you call me first. You waited a god damn hour and a half before calling me in" I said and he sighed

"They are my parents, Sam" Shayne said

"I need to get going before the storm gets worse" I said

"I'll get you tomorrow" I said as I unlocked the car

"You are cheating" Shayne asked

"Wow, I'm definitely not doing that" I said surprised 

"Why would you think that?" I asked

"Just because of this moment right now?" I asked 

"Hey mom and dad, I'm going home with Sam. Get home safe guys" Shayne said as he came over to the passanger side.
