Sammy's POV
I woke up to see Shayne wasn't in bed. I could hear stuff going on in the living room. I got out of bed and put some sweats on. I went to the living room to see Shayne building the T.V stand with his dad. His mom was making breakfast with his siblings.
"Hey sweetheart" His mom said as I walked into the kitchen
"Hi" I said as I looked at the mail on the counter
"They deliver mail early" His mom said
"I didn't think we would even get mail yet because we kinda just moved here" I said laughing looking through the stuff. I stumbled on a letter from the US army with it lettered to Shayne.
"What is this about" I said laughing and his mom looked at me confused
"What?" I asked
"Nothing" She said turning away.
"We are going out today to get some more furniture." His mom said and I nodded
"We are going to Ikea" Shayne said wrapping his arms around me.
"What is this" I said looking up to Shayne. He grabbed it from me and gulped. He opened it up and started to read it.
"Holy cow" He said
"What does it say?" His dad asked as his mom started to make plates
"I made it. I'm going into training in a month" Shayne said
"Wait what?" I asked
"Did you not tell her, Shayne?" His mom asked
"I didn't" He sighed
"I didn't think I would even get in to begin with" Shayne said
"Baby, I can explain" Shayne said as he grabbed my hand
"Why the hell would you not tell me that you are joining the fucking army" I said
"Stop cussing" He said
"Sorry I need a minute or two" I said leaving the kitchen and going to my room. I slammed the door and locked it.
"Baby, let me in" Shayne said
"How could you not tell me" I said
"What about me" I said as I sat on the bed
"Sam let me in" Shayne said and I got up to let him in. He walked in and I shut the door.
"We got a place together and you knew that you were going to leave" I said bursting into tears
"I planned to do this before I met you, Sam" Shayne said
"Sam, I'm twenty three and I'm not in school. I need to do something" Shayne said
"What about me?" I said
"What are you talking about. I want you to stay in my life" Shayne said
"Fuck you" I said as I sat on the floor
"Babe, get up" Shayne said
"You never even thought to tell me" I said
"Because look you aren't supporting me" Shayne said
"You hid this from me the whole relationship and you expect me to support when you never planned to tell me" I said
"What you were going to tell me when you were leaving" I said
"I'm sorry" Shayne said
"You think sorry is enough" I said
"What can I do about it!? I'm going, Sammy" Shayne said
"Well have a great fucking time" I said getting up and grabbing my purse and my laptop bag.
"Sam" Shayne said as I exited our room. I went to the front door not even looking at his parents. I slammed the door behind me.
ONE WEEK LATER
"So how about this for Lexi's birthday?" Gilinsky asked as we walked into Walmart as he showed me his phone.
"How about no" I said
"Can't we do something casual?" I asked as my phone started to ring. I looked to see Shayne calling.
"You need to pick up at some point. You are going to hate yourself if he leaves and you don't talk to him" G said
"I know" I said as I watched the call end
"Sam, Lexi has ranted to you and she has told me all about this. But if you love him then why are you being a bitch about the situation?" G asked
"I don't know, how about that he lied about almost everything" I said
"What he did was a fucked thing but I don't think this is worth saying goodbye to your relationship" G said and I sighed
"Invite him to Lexi's birthday party" G said as he started to grab snacks
"Fine if that is what you want" I said and I grabbed my phone out to see a text from Shayne.
Shayne<3: Sam, please come home. I'm sorry but I don't want to leave without seeing you
"Stop" I said pushing G who was trying to read the text
"Call him and tell him you love him still" G said rolling his eyes as he got a call from Lexi. I walked away and called Shayne.
"Sam" I heard a crying Shayne pick up
"Shayne" I said
"Please come home. I love you and I don't want anyone else. I can't leave like this" Shayne said
"Sam, I won't go if that's what you want. I want you and that's all the matters to me" Shayne said
"Baby, I want you to take it. I don't want you to miss this opportunity cause of me. I want you and I'm no going anywhere" I said sighing
"I'm sorry" I said
"No I'm sorry. I should have told you" Shayne said
"Come to Lexi's birthday party tonight and then we can go home tomorrow" I said
"I will" Shayne said
"Baby, you aren't going to lose me" I said
"I love you" I said
"I love you too" Shayne said
"I will see you tonight. Drive safe" I said
"I will. Text me details" Shayne said
"I love you goodbye" I said hanging up the phone
"That was so easy" G said as I turned back into the isle to see Johnson with Gilinsky
"Johnson" I said
"Hey Sam" Johnson said
"We are all cool now" G said and I sighed
"He is going to be at the party?" I asked
"What you are going to be at the party?" Johnson asked
"Lexi would want him to be there" G said
"I actually don't think so" I said
"We are on good terms with him, Sam" G said
"Um okay. We need to get everything and then get home" I said
"Sam" Johnson said and he grabbed me hand
"One rule is don't ever touch me again" I said pulling my hand away from him.
