Sammy's POV

It was one day before Shayne went away. I was in the bathroom and I didn't want him to go, I'm scared and maybe I'm being selfish but I don't want him to go. I sighed and walked out of the bathroom. He was downstairs writing down what we needed at the grocery store. 

"Hey gorgeous. You look nice" He said as I walked over to him. I gave him a kiss and pulled him into a hug.

"Don't leave" I said as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Sam" He said squeezing 

"What will make you stay?" I asked

"Baby" He said 

"We need to go get food for dinner with my parents tonight" He said as he let go of me

"Yeah" I said

We got to his parents place to spend time with them before Shayne left. I was out in the pool with Macy as the rest were inside. 

"I don't want my brother to leave" Macy said

"I don't either" I said

"It's dinner time" Shayne's mom said. I helped Macy out of the pool and followed her in. 

Shayne and I got back home. I shut the door as he took his shoes off. I felt selfish for being the person who was trying to stop him. But it hurt that he didn't want discuss this with me. He was just so willing to leave but I didn't want to stand in front of him. The only thing is I don't think he understands how much this hurts me. I want to be with him and go with him. 

"Sam, I know this is hard for you. But it isn't easy for me either" Shayne said

"I would prefer if we spent the last night together like actually talking" Shayne said groaning

"We have talked" I said

"But it feels like you are ignoring me way more than talking" Shayne said 

"Yeah I'm sorry" I said grabbing a water from the fridge. I turned around and ran right into Shayne. He picked me up and put me on the counter.

"I love you" I said and he smiled

"I love you tons" He said and I pressed my lips on his. He wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Should we go to the bedroom?" He asked while we were still making out

"It's our house. I don't think we have to go to the bedroom" I said and he smirked

A WEEK LATER

"I feel like going to a party is going to be a bad idea" I said to Lexi over the phone.

"You haven't left your house since Shayne left" Lexi said

"It's just a small party" Lexi said

"Fine, send me the addy" I said sighing

I showed up to the house and this was not a little gathering. Why would I even believe her. We aren't in high school anymore, this feels wrong. I got out of my car and walked past everyone outside and went inside. I saw Lexi with her man.

"Hey" I said

"You actually came. I'm proud of you" Lexi said

"I'm going to get a drink" I said going past them to the kitchen. Just then I saw Johnson with some other guys taking shots. I turned around to leave but then someone spoke up.

"You can come get a drink" 

"I'm okay" I said and I turned to look at them and Johnson was staring at me

"Sam" Johnson said

"I can make you something" Johnson said

"I can make something myself" I said walking to the fridge.

"I heard Shayne left for boot camp" Johnson said and I sighed

"How do you know?" I asked

"My girlfriend told me" Johnson said and then he took a shot

"How does she know?" I asked

"I don't know. Apparently it's something he has always talked about. No one believed him" Johnson said

"How is dad life?" I asked 

"It wasn't my kid. She lied" Johnson said

"I'm sorry" I said

"I'm not, she was a bitch. I'm glad it was someone else's" He said

"What I'm really pissed about is-" He started to say and then he took another shot

"You left because of that" He said setting his shot glass down

"Well then other stuff happened" I said

"I was drunk. You think I meant for that to happen" Johnson said

"I get it. But it happened and it still happened" I said

"Your boyfriend beat the shit out of me for it. I know, Sammy" Johnson said

"But I'm happy you found your soulmate" Johnson said laughing

"You don't even mean it" I said rolling my eyes

"Because you knew what happened. That shit wouldn't have happened to us if we didn't need to patch our relationship" Johnson said

"It was earth telling us that we are soulmates" Johnson said

"But I think things changed" I said

"I don't believe that" He said

"You raped me" I said 

"I'm not talking to you about this anymore" I said rolling my eyes. I left the house and got back in my car. I drove home. Automatically going inside throwing my purse on the couch. Not even noticing that my phone was going off.

I went to the fridge and got a beer. My phone kept ringing aggressively. I set the beer and went to find my phone. I grabbed it out to see Shayne was calling me on FaceTime. I answered it.

"Hey, I've been calling you" Shayne said, Shayne was clearly in his bunk about to go to bed.

"Sorry Lexi wanted me to go to party but I ran into Johnson so I left. The drive wasn't a quick drive also" I said

"I miss you" Shayne said

"I miss you too" I said

"Do you have headphones in?" I asked

"Yes, baby" Shayne said

"I might sound crazy but with you gone for even a week has made me think. I umm I want you in the rest of my life so maybe we should get married. What's the point in waiting when I don't want anyone else" I said

"Have you actually thought about this or you just saying this now because of what happened tonight?" Shayne asked

"Not the reaction I was wanting" I said

"I want you. I love you and your family" I said

"Okay" Shayne said and I could tell he was smiling like crazy even though it was mostly dark.

"So we can discuss this when I get back from boot camp" He said

"Yes" I said 

"I should go to bed" Shayne said

"Goodnight, handsome" I said

"Goodnight" Shayne said
