𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐘, 𝕳er father kept his promise. Every fifteen minutes before the (what she knew would be) party of the year, he'd wander into her room as she was in the middle of tinkering, sit down on her king sized princess looking duvet and silently watch her for a couple of minutes. To others, it would've been slightly unnerving but Aurora knew her father just like she knew herself. It was their way of trying to formulate their thoughts into words, something unfamiliar to people who knew nothing about how a Stark's mind works.
It wasn't until the tenth time he ventured into her room that she abruptly stood up and put her back to her desk. "Dad!" She scolded but her eyes gave away her true intentions. Just like Aurora knew Tony, Tony knew her too. "Can't you knock?"
Tony looked visibly offended, "I did! Besides you knew I'd be coming back in fifteen minutes," he shrugged. "It's fifteen minutes."
Aurora frowned, "It's really been fifteen minutes already?"
"Yup," her father stated as he flopped down on her bed again. "Standard dad check interval. Ask Jarvis," he tried peering over auroras shoulder trying to see what she was working on. Instead he was met with his daughter stepping into his line of sight with a patronizing look on her face. "Come on," he frowned. "I want to know what's got you working with wires and soder on the day of the greatest event of the century. You know, the one you forced me to have?"
Aurora rolled her eyes, "Correction! I didn't force you to have anything. Blame that on your ego, besides, I'm working on something important."
Tony rose his eyebrows, "Is it the MIT homework you were whining about pre our visit to Washington? The same one that almost stopped you from accompanying your dearest father on a quest to preserve his reputation in the eyes of millions?"
