Rizu POV
Looking at the vast ocean as it smiled made me smile. "A new adventure huh?" I hear Ikkei say as he walked up to me. I nodded my head. "Yeah, we should be nearing the island soon enough." I say as it was already night time, having the stars shine bright.
"Its been quite fun fighting new people and seeing new islands." I say as I glance at Ikkei who nods his head in agreement. "Truly is." The both of us fall into comfortable silence as we stare up at the sky, relaxing our minds and thoughts.
"Well then, Ikkei. I'll be heading in first. Make sure you get some rest." I say as I patted his shoulder. Smiling at me he nodded. "Yeah, I'll be coming in a bit." he says as I walk off and head to my room.
Slipping into my night clothes, I crawl into bed, needing the rest for when we arrive at the next island.
________
'Booom!' a loud explosion occurs on the island, as I widen my eyes and look around wondering what it was coming from as members pulled out their weapons. Standing back to back with Ikkei we look around our surroundings.
The next thing I knew when I looked down was Ikkei's bloody body on the ground as I bent down and quickly grabbed him. "Ikkei! Ikkei!! Hey! Hang in there!" I yell to him as tears run down my face. As I dig in my little sash that I carry around, I put the bandages around the wound trying to stop the bleeding.
"Hey hang in there! Come on!" I yell as I hold him closer to me. I could see him look at me and hold my hand. "Its alright...Get to safety Rizu." He tells me as I shake my head as I look around to see our men scattering around the island to avoid the attacks from these creatures. They appeared to be like dinosaurs but however were bigger than they should've been.
With the commanders defeating them, some of the creatures had slipped past them and headed towards the others who weren't protected by the commanders. "Help everyone else..." Ikkei weakly tells me as I shake my head. "Stop talking and let me help you!" I say as I wrap bandages around him where he was injured and lift him up in my arms.
Before I could even stand up, a large boom was heard behind me seeing that the creature that was larger than what a T-rex and more teeth than anything. I grit my teeth as I set down Ikkei. "Just hold on a little longer!" I tell him as I pick up Ryuushi and angrily attack the creature in front of me as it fell to the ground.
As I went down to pick up Ikkei, he felt cold. My eyes widened as I grabbed him by the shoulders. "Hey Ikkei! Stay with me! Don't tell me-" I saw that he had his eyes barely open as he grabbed my hand. "I'm sorry." He whispers out to me as his hand lets go and drops to the ground.
Widening my eyes, I hold him tighter as tears start to fall. "No! Ikkei!! Stay with me! It was my mistake! So please!" I yell as I could no longer feel any warmth or him for that matter.
"Nooooo!!!" I yell out as I sit up in bed drenched with sweat as tears come streaming down my face. "Ah it was just a dream...." I mumble to myself as I grab my hair wondering if it perhaps was just a dream or if it was the strings that were telling me something.
For the time I was aboard with the White Beards, I've noticed that when I concentrate and touch someone with my strings, I can see small glimpses of their fate, only the things that will happen to them a moment or two in advance. But they were all really minor things like if that person was going to fight with someone or eat someone's food, etc. Either in a minute, an hour, a day, or sometimes a week.
After eating the devil fruit, I did have memories and dreams such as this. But it became less often as time went. Though during the day I would still receive images for the fate of others. To be exact using my devil fruit powers is something that I've been practicing on recently.
