Chapter 35: Welcome to the Grand Line

Rizu POV

"Rizu!" Rosi yelled at me as he held onto the mast of the boat. I nod my head as I grab the paddles and start to row to aim us straight towards the crack in the mountain which I see ahead.

"Rosinante grab a paddle and help me steer!" I say and he grabs one as he helps me. "I don't even know how I managed to get to an island by myself without dying from here!" he says as he rows fast with the current as it rocks us off to the side. I paddle my side even more to get us straight. "I don't know either, but I'm surprised that you made it to Loguetown with that busted boat!" I shout as the waves crash into our boat and the water sprays us.

We focus on paddling as we shout to each other to move more left or right. "It's coming up!" I yell as I see the gates up ahead. I hear Rosinante pant and he shuffles around. "Rizu!" he yells at me and I continue to paddle. "WHat?!" I yell over the loud crashing of the water. "There's a problem!" he yells at me and I look over. "What problem!?!" I yell as I look at him.

He pulls out the paddle and the paddle portion is gone but the stick. I turn grey under my mask and sweat. "How did that happen!!?" I yell as I look back forward and paddle even more as we drift off to the side. "There was a rock and something that hit it when I was paddling!" He yells at me and I look around the boat.

"Grab something to paddle with!! Break off a board from your boat hurry!!!" I yell as we start to drift off from the left where Rosi is. He quickly moves to the back to where his boat is attached and rips off the seat board and crawls over back. "Hurry start paddling!!" I yell as I see us drift even more off course and I move to paddle over on the left.

We both frantically paddle in different directions as we now head up into the gates. We both let out huge sighs as we head up the mountain with the current. I lean against the mast with Rosi laying on his back on the floor. "I thought I was gonna die....." Rosinante comments and I nod my head as I let out an exhausted grunt.

"I don't even know how you even came up the current when it's this strong and managed to get to the East Blue, much less how we were able to get up here with this small boat that doesn't even have things ships have." I comment as I look forward seeing that we are going at a fast speed up into the clouds and I smile under my mask as I get a breeze.

Rosi sighs out as he gets up to look at the front. "I actually forgot to mention, to get up on this current I had hitched the back of another ship with a rope as it pulled me along and I caught another current...." Rosi stated as if he had just remembered something important.

i turn my head towards him and sigh out as I rub my head. "I don't even know...." I mumble and chuckle as I laugh it off and make my way to the front of the boat to look at the peak.

"The Grand line! I'll be making my way through and getting stronger!" I state with a rush of energy as we fly up and head straight down.

Rosinante chuckles and moves to the front as well. "I'm going to find you Law!! Just wait for me!" he yells and I could tell he was smiling underneath the mask. I laugh as I feel the gust of wind blowing my black hair back.

'I'll be waiting you two!' I say to myself as I think back to the two boys back at Dawn Island and look over the ocean as Rosi enjoys the view. I look forward towards the vast blue ocean as we come down.

The boat we have splashes as we land in the ocean right after reverse mountain at the twin capes. I hold onto the rim of the boat and the water lands on the both of us as me are soaking with water. As we float further out away from the twin capes we decide to dock as we get our stuff together and decide.
