Steven POV

After the incident in the snowy biome, Pearl and Garnet had decided to go back out to look for Jasper.

"Listen up, we're going to be gone for a while." Pearl stated. "Wait Pearl-" I started to say. "Amethyst, you're in charge." Garnet said. "Aye aye captain, no funny business while I'm on duty." Amethyst groaned. Suddenly, Connie burst through the door with her stuff ready. "Surprise! I'm early today!" Connie exclaimed. "I was trying to tell you guys that Connie has sword practice today." I sighed. "Oh! I completely forgot...I'm so sorry Connie." Pearl apologized. "Tsk, very irresponsible, Pearl." Amethyst remarked. "Are you heading back North because of Jasper?" Connie asked. "Yes, unfortunately we can't leave her out there roaming around." Pearl said.

"Oh okay, be safe!" Connie said. "Heh, that's my line." Pearl replied. Garnet and Pearl warped off to the North, leaving us home. "Hey, what'd I miss?" Y/n asked, coming through the door with 2 boxes of pizza and some Garlic Knots. "Not much, Garnet and Pearl just left for their mission." I replied. "Well, are we ready for some training?" Y/n asked us. "Yeah!" Connie and I both replied. Amethyst looked over to us and shrugged, before following us outside to spectate our training. The 3 of us took turns fighting against each other, and actually made some pretty good progress. "Hey Amethyst, did ya see that! Amethyst?" I asked. "Huh? Oh yeah, I saw it. What's it look like?" She replied.

"Like you're not watching." I said with a scrunched up face. "Alright alright, you got me. This better?" She asked, shape shifting her feet into eyes. "Eww!" We all said. "Alright guys, let's take it from the top!" I said to Connie and Y/n. We trained together a bit more before stopping from exhaustion. "Excellent, amazing, Pearl-fect." Amethyst said, imitating Pearl. "Aw shucks." I replied. "I don't know, my stance was all wrong." Connie said. "And I still haven't really gotten used to my powers yet." Y/n said. "Look you 2, you gotta stop worrying about these little things. All you gotta worry about is getting loose." Amethyst said, waving her arms around.

"I wanna be loose!" I shouted, star-eyed. "Me too!" Y/n yelled. "Then you just have to go with the flow. Now what does your gut tell you?" Amethyst asked. "Uh...hungry?" I said as my stomach growled. "Mine too." Amethyst smiled. Y/n and Connie agreed, so we headed back inside to have some of the pizza Y/n bought. "Thanks for buying us food, Y/n. It's really good." I said, eating some of the pizza. "Yup, you're a real lifesaver." Amethyst responded. "Eh, it was nothing. Figured we could use a little energy after training." Y/n said. "I second that." Connie giggled. We finished eating our food and Y/n walked over and opened the fridge. "What's up, Y/n?" I asked as Y/n stared blankly into the fridge. "I forgot to go food shopping..." Y/n mumbled. "I'll be back in a bit, can you come with me Steven?". "Sure!" I replied. "Are you 2 gonna be okay here for a little bit?" Y/n asked Connie and Amethyst.

"Don't worry, you 2 just go and get whatever you need." Connie smirked. Y/n and I blushed at that comment but laughed it off. We put on our shoes and headed out for the supermarket. "I've never seen you in such a hurry to go somewhere before." I chuckled, holding his hand. "Well um...the truth is we don't actually need to go food shopping." Y/n replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "Huh? What do ya mean?" I asked, confused as to why we were going out. "Truthfully I wanted you to come because...I uh...really wanted to spend some time with you." Y/n said, embarrassed. "Oh...that's pretty sweet of you." I said, blushing. I realized that Y/n and I never got to do much together since we've been so busy after the mission we had.

"I guess we should head back then, huh?" Y/n asked. "Probably, but how about when this whole Jasper stuff blows over and we're free from missions, we have a little date?" I said, giving him a kiss. Y/n nodded his head and kissed me back. "Yeah, that sounds nice." Y/n smiled. We walked back to the temple to find Connie and Amethyst waiting on the couch for us. "I thought you were going food shopping?" Connie asked. "Erm...the store was closed." I lied. "Yeah yeah, whatever. C'mon guys, let's go have some fun!" Amethyst shouted. We went down to The Big Donut to grab another snack, and then went to Funland. After that, the 4 of us headed down to the beach. Amethyst hopped on a surfboard while I jumped in the ocean.

"Wait for me!" Y/n yelled as he jumped in. "Come on Connie!" I shouted. "I didn't bring a bathing suit!" Connie shouted back. "In the heat of battle, you ain't gonna have one!" Amethyst yelled. "Well, I guess you're right about that." Connie said as she jumped in. We continued to splash around in the water for a bit. "We should hang out with Amethyst more often, she's the best!" I cheered. "You're the best!" Y/n said, hugging me from behind. "Nuh-uh, you're the best!" I replied, leaning into his touch. Suddenly the water started shaking and the ground was rumbling. The water opened up and the monster from the snowy biome crawled out.

"I remember you too buddy..." I chuckled nervously. "Uh oh..." Y/n said. I summoned my bubble with Y/n and Connie inside. Amethyst came out from behind us and jumped off of the bubble and onto the monster, wrestling it down until she eventually poofed it. "Woah! That was amazing Amethyst!" Connie said. "Are you okay?" Y/n asked. "Eh, not my prettiest win but I'll take it." Amethyst said. "That was the monster that we fought in the snow, I think at least." Connie said. "I think you'd remember a face like that." Amethyst replied. "Well there were 2 of them." I said. "2 of them?" She asked, worried. The ground started shaking again and suddenly Jasper came out while riding on top of the other monster.

"Rose!" Jasper yelled. "Jasper!" We all said. "I'm glad I finally found you. I've decided to build my own army, where's the rest of yours?" Jasper asked. "They're not here right now!" I shouted. Amethyst shushed me. "So it's just you 4 then?" Jasper said. "Doesn't matter, I'm gonna kick your butt all by myself!" Amethyst stated. "Alright listen, I got Jasper, you 3 handle the monster." Amethyst said. Amethyst ran off after Jasper while the 3 of us got ready to fight the monster. "Looks like we got another shot at this." Y/n said. "We just have to stay together!" I said. We started fighting the monster which proved to be no easy feat.

"I came here to fight Rose, not some scrawny runt." Jasper stated. "You think you can just come here and keep picking fights with us? ARGH, just get a life!" Amethyst yelled. "Fighting IS my life!" Jasper replied. "It's what I was made for as well as you, runt.". Amethyst and Jasper start fighting it out, and Amethyst seems to be having trouble. "Hmpf, you're not even trying! Is it because you know you're already a failure? You're a quartz soldier just like me, but you're not like me are you? Jasper asked. "A-Amethyst?!" I said. "Are you really that desperate for troops, Rose? That you'd keep a defect like this thing?" Jasper asked.

"Rose said I'm perfect...the way I am." Amethyst said, struggling to get back up. "Well she had low standards then." Jasper replied. Jasper then kicked Amethyst into the air, watching her fall to the ground. "You could've been me! But what are you instead?" Jasper stated. "Just a joke?!". Jasper then heatbutted Amethyst, making her poof. "Amethyst! Come on!" I shouted, grabbing Y/n and Connie's hand. "Time to get rid of this embarrassment." Jasper said. "Hyaaaa!" We shouted, running towards Jasper. There was a big bright light before the 3 of us fused. "Woah...we fused." We said. I looked down to see a brown colored gem on our naval. "I think we need a name, don't we?".

"How about...Morganite. That's got a nice ring to it." We said. "You crystal gems would actually fuse with a human?!" Jasper yelled. "I'm not interested in anything you have to say unless it's sorry." We said. "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe.". We put Amethyst's gem onto the sand before getting ready for battle. For a moment, there was a faint light and a voice.

"Seems you've fused. I'll give you a little boost till you've learned to control it." Osiris said.

I looked over to see that the mark on Y/n's right hand is now on our hand. It started glowing and expanding, just like how Y/n's did. "Now this is a real powerup!" We said cheerfully. "Lion, take care of that monster. We'll handle Jasper." We said. We took out my shield and a combination of Y/n and Connie's weapon, ultimately making a silver coated blade. "I think this is gonna work out well." We smirked. We rushed towards Jasper and fought. In the end, we poofed the monster but Jasper had started crawling back into the ocean. "UGH, FUSION! IT'S ALWAYS FUSION!" Jasper shouted, backing into the ocean. "Get ready next time Rose, Jaspers always get what we want!."

"Huh, I guess she'll live in the ocean now." We said. "You guys...won?" Amethyst asked, shocked. "Amethyst! You're okay!" I said as we unfused. "Thank goodness!" Y/n said. "We were so worried!" Connie said. "Uh, thanks guys?" She replied. "We fused!" Connie exclaimed. "Yeah, that was my first time ever." Y/n said. "And you did great!" I said, giving him a peck on the lips. "Woohoo! I can't wait to tell the others!" I shouted.
