"Get Off My car!"

At a Fire. Later. 

Chief "Hey, anyone inside?"

Woman "My husband, Adam. We had the fireplace going, and then, the wall over the mantle...It suddenly got really hot, and there was all this smoke."

Chief "Just your husband, no one else?"

She shook her head. 

Chief "Brett, Foster, we have a smoke inhalation victim here.She needs oxygen."

Foster" On it, Chief."

Chief "It's a cracked flue. Fire got in the walls."

Hermann "I don't like that brown smoke, chief."

Chief "Me neither. Lightweight construction, fire deep in that structure, but we have a confirmed victim still inside, so let's get in and out quick. Search teams, mask up. Herrmann, get a hose line in there, cover them."

Casey to Kelly "We'll take the bottom floor. You take the top."

Kelly nodded. 

In the house. 

Chief "Talk to me, Casey. What do you got?"

Casey " Nothing yet. Still got a few rooms to check out on one."

Chief "Emergency! Everybody out! Now, right now, evacuate!

We walked out of the building. 

Chief "Squad three, report."

Cruz "Chief, I need assistance on the second floor, D/C corner. Severide is under the collapsed chimney."

My jaw dropped and i turned around to go back in. 

Casey held me back "don't even think about it"

Then he shot Kidd a look who stayed back. 

Me "Casey"

Casey shot me a look "Flora"

Chief "Truck 81, RIT rescue! Go get him!"

I put my mask on and rushed in. 

Kidd rushed over to Kelly "Kelly! Can you hear me?"

Kelly groaned out  "I'm okay."

Kidd "You're not okay! You got a chimney on you! Don't move!"

Kelly "Just need a little more room."

Casey "We need airbags and cribbing!"

Chief "Airbags and cribbing coming right up, Casey."

We found the husband. 

Casey "Chief, we found the husband. Flo, Kidd, Otis, get the victim down."

Me "Otis can take him. I'm with Kelly."

Casey "No, you're taking him, now!"

I looked a him. 

He shot me a look. 

Outside. 

Casey "Chief, the fire's spreading. Can we get some help?"

Chief "Stand by, Casey."

Hermann "Hey, Chief! We got to get a line upstairs, cover these guys."
