Morning. At Kelly's.

Kelly walked into the kitchen.

I took a sip of my coffee "you out of your mind?"

Kelly looked at me "Flo-"

Me "you took a swing at Otis, Kelly. "

Kelly nodded "Yeah, so? i would do it again"

I asked shocked "are you kidding me?"

Kelly "Casey needs to get his guys in line"

Me "maybe they're not the problem"

Kelly raised an eyebrow "the hell they're not. "

Me "Before Rice got here, Otis and Cruz were just as much family to you as Capp, Tony and i. "

Kelly "i know Rice. He's not a ducker"

Me "you better be damn sure"

Kelly nodded  "yeah, and you better make sure Casey keeps the Truck on their side of the fence. "

Me "Drawing lines between Truck and Squad. Like when you decided Squad doesn't vent right before Darden went up in flames"

Kelly froze "did you really just say that?"

I sighed "Kelly-"

Kelly "Answer me this; where you there? "

I shook my head "no, i was in Miami-"

Kelly nodded "exactly, so don't talk about stuff you have no idea of"

I looked down and he walked away. 

At the Firehouse.

I knocked on Kelly's room door and he looked at me and sighed.

Me "i come in peace"

He nodded and i walked inside.

Me "thanks"

I sat down on the bed.

Kelly "what do you want?"

Me "Kelly, i want to apologize. I crossed a line by bringing Darden into this and i am sorry"

Kelly nodded.

Me "Otis and Cruz are only looking out for us, okay?"

Kelly "Flo, Otis accused Rice of abandoning you during that fire, okay? I'm not gonna be okay with that"

I nodded "i know that. and i know that Scott is your friend, and that you have his back, no matter what"

Kelly nodded "i do. be honest, what do you think about him?"

Me "Scott?"

He nodded.

I took a deep breath "Kelly, i don't know what to think about him. "

He scoffed and leaned back in his seat.

Me "i don't know him that well, okay? But i know Otis and Cruz for almost 7 years now, and i trust them"

Kelly "Flo, they brought you into this"

I nodded "i know. But do you think they'd do that if they weren't sure about it?"

Kelly "do you believe them?"

I shrugged "i don't know"

Kelly "do you think Scott would do that to you knowing how much you mean to me?"
