A few weeks later. At the Firehouse.

Shay and i walked into the group room and i jumped a little when everyone started to clap and cheer.

I smiled "Guys, come on, it's no big deal"

Dawson smiled "no big deal? we were worried sick about you"

Mouch "and it was pretty boring without you here"

I giggled "thanks"

The Chief walked to me and gave me a hug "welcome back, Florence."

I nodded "it's good to be back"

The Chief "you've completely healed? You're ready to go back to work?"

I nodded "yes, i feel better than ever"

Chief nodded "Good but you should tell that your Lieutenant "

I looked at him confused but then he looked at Severide who walked over to me.

I breathed "oh boy"

the Chief walked out.

Casey walked over to me and gave me a hug "you okay?"

I nodded "I'm fine"

He eyed me and i laughed.

Me "I'm fine, Matt"

He nodded "good but be careful the next time"

I nodded "i will. I promise"

He smiled.

At the bedrooms.

I walked into Kelly's room and saw him sitting there on the desk.

Me "knock. knock"

He looked at me and chuckled "hey"

I smiled "hey"

then i closed the door behind me.

Kelly sighed "I'm gonna tell him"

I raised an eyebrow at him .

Kelly "Today"

I shot him a look.

Kelly "i promise"

i nodded "good. but what i wanted to ask you how you are gonna treat me on the jobs from now on. I mean, i back on 100% now but for the fact that i know your worried ass-"

Kelly nodded "i get it."

I crossed my arms over my chest.

Kelly "honestly?"

I nodded.

Kelly "you would you even listen to me if i'd tell you to stay back for the first few jobs"

I thought about it.

Me "Honestly?"

Kelly nodded "no"

I shook my head "not really"

Kelly tried to hide his smile "see? so why bother giving you orders?"

Suddenly the alarm went off "Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, Police Assist, .."

I looked at him, smirking "Let's go"

out of town. Abandoned Truck.

We walked to the cop.

the cop looked at us "Abandoned Truck and there's something funky inside. It's padlocked shut. "
