1.5 Thanksgiving

A few days later. At a Preschool.

We marched downstairs to the basement. Casey kicked the door in and we walked downstairs.

Casey yelled "Leonard! Down here? Call out!"

We walked around.

Hermann " You guys smell anything? Are we sure they cut off the gas lines?"

Otis "Oh, I shut it down myself."

I sniffed in the air "Smells like chemicals. "

Casey walked around the corner and yelled "Crystal meth! Masks on!"

We all put our masks on. The guys grabbed Leonard who was unconsciously on the ground while i put the flame off.

Hermann shook his head " Really, Leonard, with the kids up there?"

Outside.

I walked into the truck but stopped when i saw Kelly gulping down some pills.

He turned around to leave but froze when he saw me "Flo?"

I held my hand out and shook my head  "Don't."

He sighed "Flo, listen-"

I shook my head "no, Kelly, don't"

We got out of the truck.

Chief yelled around "Okay, everyone, listen up. Everyone on scene will have a baseline drug test. Today. "

Hermann sighed annoyed "Happy Thanksgiving"

I looked at Kelly who looked at the ground.

Then I breathed out pissed off, grabbed Kelly's arm and walked with him to Shay "Shay!"

She looked at me "yeah?"

Me "this one's got something to ask you"

Kelly sighed when Shay shot him a look " I may have taken something this morning."

Shay whispered " Toradol?"

Kelly pulled the drugs out " Stronger. "

Shay pulled a face.

Me "What? "

Shay scoffed " Michael Jackson couldn't have handled those. Where'd you get those? "

Kelly "Will it show up on the test? "

She shot him a look"Will these narcotics show up on a drug test? "

Kelly breathed out and walked away.

 I looked at Shay.

Back at the Firehouse.

Capp "and ?"

i asked confused "and what?"

Capp "how are the chicks in Florida?"

We walked into the group room.

I could hear Kelly chuckling in front of us.

Capp looked at him, innocent "What?"

I giggled.

The Chief walked inside " Drug tester's on his way. And again, this is mandatory. "

Capp "Hey, chief, there's a kid outside looking for you. "

Chief nodded "Thanks."

Then he walked out.

I sat down at the round table.
