Hermann

We were watching how Hermann was transported into the ambulance. Freddie had stabbed him and left. 

My jaw dropped. 

Mouch  "I'll call Cindy"

Kelly walked to us, putting his jacket on "hey, Cruz. Where's your little friend, Freddie?"

By the tone in his voice i could tell  he was ready to beat someone's ass. 

Otis shook his head, sighing "Severide, don't"

Kelly "you gonna help the cops find him?"

Cruz "I'm gonna tell 'em everything i know. They'll find him"

The ambulance drove away. 

At the hospital. 

We were all waiting for news of Hermann. 

He was still in the OR. 

Gabby "I'm gonna go find Dr. Rhodes, see if we can get an update"

Cindy nodded. 

Gabby stood up but Dr. Rhodes walked to us. 

Chaplain stood up "there he is"

we all stood up. 

Rhodes "we have given Hermann several units of blood, and he's stabilized for now. The knife went through his liver, diaphragm, and lung. So we've put a tube into his chest to reinflate the lung and help him breathe. We're hopeful that the bleeding has stopped since we don't see anything on the CT."

Cindy "When will you know?"

Rhodes "Well, the next several hours are critical"

Mouch put an arm around Cindy who held back sobs "We're here"

Rhodes "Cindy, you can come with me to see him. Come on"

Cindy nodded and they walked away. 

Kelly walked over to Cruz "what are the cops doing about Freddie?"

Me "Jay says Intelligence is taking over the manhunt"

Kelly asked Cruz "have you talked to them?"

Cruz "Ruzek is on his way. I'm on it, Lieutenant"

We were all sitting int he waiting area while Cruz was talking to Ruzek. 

Kelly was pacing around, looking like he was about to explode any second. 

He was mad. 

I grabbed his hand to stop him "you're making me nervous"

Kelly sat down next to me and started to move his leg up and down, fast. 

I put a hand on his thigh to stop him. 

Chief stood up "okay, team, we'll stay close to the folks here at Med. Get back here first chance that we get. But right now, time to get to work. With Kelly Severide back as lieutenant on Squad"

Kelly nodded and stood up "all right, guys. Let's get out there. Hermann will be with us. "

At the Firehouse. 

I tried to put the saw into the truck but i had some trouble since they were heavy. 

Jimmy walked over to me "hey, Flo, wait-let me help you"

He  grabbed the saw from me and put them were they belonged.
