Night. 1100 Fulton Street. 

We were on the way to the warehouse. 

Kelly "how far are we?"

Tony "Four or five blocks"

Kelly "you guys smell that? i think we got ourselves a working fire. "

Me "we're not gonna get any eye shut Tonight"

We got out of the trucks. the whole warehouse was on fire. people were running out like crazy. 

Kelly "is that a club?"

A kid coughed out "the place just went up!"

Chief "how many inside?"

The kid "i don't know. 50, 60? a lot. It's like a maze. I couldn't find my way out"

Chief "Battalion 25 to main. 2-11 alarm and an EMS Plan 2. 51, get two lines inside. you hold that fire until we evacuate. 77, grab a hydrant on Fuller and feed 51. Ambo is triage. the fire is in the tresses. We need to move fast,  save as many as we can. Casey, let Herrman take point. I need you out here to recon the outside of the building. "

Casey "copy that ,Chief. Hermann, Mouch, Otis, Kidd, inside for primary search"

Hermann "copy that, Chief"

Kidd rushed to me.

I looked at her "what?"

Kidd "It's Kol"

i froze "what?"

Kidd nodded her head in one direction. 

I saw Kol in the crowd and my jaw dropped. 

Kidd "it's a trap"

Me "He could be tricking us"

Kidd "Florence-"

Me "Kidd, we don't have a choice. Either way, we have to save these people"

She nodded. 

I nodded and put my mask on. 

Kelly walked over to the door but it was locked. people were in there screaming for help. 

Kelly "hang on! we're gonna get you out!"

He couldn't break the door open "come on!"

It worked and people came rushing out, coughing.

Me "Capp, get them out of here"

Kelly "okay, let's go"

we walked in and looked around. 

I yelled "fire department, call out!"

Then i heard a coughing and turned around "81 ! we got a victim here!"

Otis "got her"

Chief "Florence, everyone's out? where are you?"

Me "Still inside, i heard coughing from behind the door but i can't open it"

I couldn't get that door open. 

Chief "Al's kid, Lexi's still in there"

Me "could be her behind the door, but i can't open it"

Chief "Florence, you need to get out. The building could collapse at any se-"

Suddenly i got hit by something and everything went black.

I opened my eyes and realized i was on a stretcher "what the hell?"

Chief "Flo, you okay? 

I nodded "Lexi?"

Chief "they're bringing her to the hospital. you should get checked out too"

I shook my head "i am fine"

Chief "drive with the next ambulance"

Me "i am fine, i don't nee-"

Chief "that was an order, Florence"

I sighed, nodding "fine"

Gabby "Florence, you can drive with us"

I nodded. 

At the hospital. 

More victims were here than the hospital could carry. It was shocked. 

Will walked to me "Florence"

Me "hey, Will, i heard you were taking care of Lexi?"

Will nodded "She's stable now"

I nodded "good "

Will "let me take a look at you "

Me "I am fine"

Will shot me a look "Florence, please"

I nodded "all right, you're the doc"

He nodded "good"

Me "See, i told you, i was fine"

Will nodded "yes, you did"

Voight walked over to me. 

Will". get dressed, you can anytime"

I nodded "okay"

He smiled before walking away. 

I looked at Voight. 

Voight "how are you?"

I nodded "hanging in there.  Voight, Kol was there"

Voight nodded "i know"

I looked at him confused. 

Voight "it wasn't him. "

Me "are you sure?"

He nodded "yes"

Me "Voight?"

He looked at me "yeah"

Me "thank you"

Voight "for what? i am failing and-"

Me "for everything. for even trying to find a way to help me"

He nodded.

I put my shirt on when i heard the curtain moving. 

Voice "you okay?"

I tensed and turned around "Kol"

Kol "you okay?"

I nodded "yes. was that you?"

Kol shook his head "no, but i wish"

I shook my head "around 20 people died, Kol. how can you say that?"

Kol rolled his eyes. 

Me "if it wasn't you then what the hell were you doing there?"

Kol shrugged "looking out for you. always wanted to see you in action"

Me "well, you saw me. now you can leave "

Kol chuckled "you really think that this was it? That i am done? Baby, i haven't even started yet. "

Then he walked away.
