The smell of ashes filled the air.

With a gloomy expression, Seungcheol walked down the forest with his head looking at the ground. He bit his lips as the taste of copper spread throughout his mouth. Tears continued to roll down his cheek each passing second.

All Seungcheol could ask himself was: why?. Why did they have to kill them? Why did the tanuki have to be run over? The souls within him mourned each and every one of their deaths. Their pain overflowed Seungcheol’s heart as he dragged his feet on the ground.

His happiness had come to an end.

As his eyes soon became dull and monotonous, a thought flashed through his head.

“The Aizawa’s…” He whispered, his sobs becoming louder. “They..killed them..”

Suddenly, his blood began to boil; his skin began to rip. A large cloud of smoke surrounded him, and before he knew it he stood 90 feet above the ground. As he looked at his surroundings, the moon provided light to his now invisible eyes. His body had become heavier and bony.

“A GASHADOKURO!” Someone yelled from behind him, causing a big commotion.

Immediately, everyone close to the area began to scram in all directions. Men, women, and children yelled their lungs out as Seungcheol turned around. From his height they were nothing but annoying ants who had lost each other, meaning he could easily dispose of each and every one of them.

And yet, as he walked across town he tried his best to evade them all and ignore them. However, he couldn’t help but feel sad whenever he saw their faces, petrified and filled with worry. The people he talked to daily in his human form now pointed fingers and yelled bloody murder. It made Seungcheol wish he could only walk faster.

Cheol shook his head. He had no time to feel ashamed. His heart was set aflame, leading him into another forest and forcing him to destroy trees that were in his path. And soon enough, he had reached a traditional japanese mansion surrounded by darkness.

Seungcheol continued walking until he was only a few meters away from the house. And when he noticed a servant was about to turn on a lamp, he kicked the house and watched as everything fell down.

There was a yell, then another one. All of the residents of the household ran out in panic and tensed as soon as they saw him.

   Well, most of them did.

As Seungcheol continued to destroy the house and stumble around, from the corner of his eye a dark figure appeared. He didn’t pay attention to it until it glowed and drowned his nose with smoke.

“Greeting my fellow yokai!” The kitsune said as he approached Seungcheol with a wide grin. “It’s a pleasure to meet you!”

Although it couldn’t be seen, Seungcheol frowned.

“I see you’ve taken quite a liking to this house..” The other said before he turned around. “If you’re hungry, you have my permission to devour them all”

Confused, Cheol reached out and picked up the kitsune all the way to his eye level. He looked at him, then turned to the house. “What are you planning, fox?”

The being sighed. “I’ve been unwillingly kept here just to marry the owner’s daughter in exchange for my Hoshi No Tama”

“And what makes you think I’ll help you?”

“You came here for revenge, didn’t you?” The skeleton tensed. “If I wanted to, I could place a barrier in this property and make sure you’re turned into nothing but ashes. But! I’m giving you the opportunity to destroy everything and eat until full”

“You said you were supposed to get married,” He placed him down. “What about your fiance?”

“She was the first one to be crushed by your kick. Besides,” The being frowned. “The person I truly love is waiting for me…”

At this, Seungcheol couldn’t help but sigh. He crouched down and held out his hand. “My name’s Seungcheol”

   “Jeonghan”

“You’re not going to do anything tricky, are you?”

He tsked. “Of course not! What do you take me for?”

“A sly fox who probably needs to find a new hobby or two instead of going around and causing mischief”

“Ouch” He chuckled as he stepped aside to let the skeleton continue. “I’ll go look for my Hoshi No Tama, make sure to not leave any witnesses, ok?!”

“Sure,” Cheol said nonchalantly. However, as he walked more into the house and took a good look at the servants' faces, one stood out among them. And as Cheol took a closer look, the flame that had calmed down lightened once again.

The person who had pulled the rickshaw quivered in fear as the gashadokuro got closer. And before he could escape, the skeleton had reached out and lifted him from the ground. As the man yelled, Seungcheol brought him all the way to the top of his face and tilted his head.

And as the man wiggled around in his grasp, Seungcheol opened his mouth and ate him.
