Dami's pov:

The other girl had calmed down a little and Dami kissed her temple.

"Now you know my deepest shame." Y/n tried to hide her emotions behind a joke.

"Don't do that," Dami said sadly and brushed through the other girl's hair.

"Do what?" Y/n asked.

"Trying to hide your emotions with sarcasm. I know you feel down. There is no shame in feeling something." Dami explained.

"But it's stupid to feel guilty and sad about something that happened years ago," Y/n replied.

"It's not stupid for you. Otherwise, you would not react like this. Am I right?" Dami asked and let go of Y/n, so she could look her in the face.

Y/n said nothing and nodded.

"If you want my opinion, I would say it was not your fault. You tried to protect your friends and yourself. It was just unfortunate for the boy to step in between you and his father." Dami said and caressed Y/n's cheek.

A single tear rolled down Y/n's face, as she looked at the ground.

"Maybe you should try to take a nap. I think it would help you." Dami pointed out.

"Yeah. I'm really tired." Y/n admitted.

Both girls lay down on the soft grass next to each other.

"Promise me you keep an eye on the sunlight," Y/n said softly.

"I will," Dami promised and closed her eyes, as she listened to the sounds of nature.

Everything was so quiet only the soft breaths of Dami's wife and the wind that played with the leaves of the tree could be heard. After a while, the Vampire girl looked at Y/n.

"Are you asleep?" Dami whispered.

"No, I'm thinking of what you said," Y/n replied.

"And what is your conclusion? If I may ask." Dami said.

"That my wife might be right." Y/n simply replied.

"Of course she is. You should listen to her more often." Dami joked.

"Believe it or not, I do, but I have to admit I get distracted by her face sometimes. You have to know she is very pretty." Y/n replied.

It made Dami blush hard.

"You know you don't have to flirt with me. We are already married." Dami said and hit Y/n's arm playfully.

Y/n smiled while she sat up and stretched her body. Dami sat up as well and noticed that Y/n was still listening to music.

"What are you listening to?" She asked and pointed to the earphones that dangled down.

"Nothing. The playlist ended a few minutes ago." Y/n admitted.

"May I?" Dami asked and grabbed the earphone.

Y/n nodded and pulled her phone out of her pocket. Dami put the earphone in and waited for the music to play.

"I usually listen to this when I have panic attacks or when I feel down. It makes me calm and happy, you know?" Y/n explained and chose one song on the playlist.

The music started to play and Dami listened carefully. Y/n lay back down again and Dami joined her.

"It's nice. Can I see your playlist?" Dami asked.

She was curious about what kind of music her wife was into. Without a word, Y/n handed her her phone. Dami scrolled through the playlist. There were a few songs she knew, but a lot she never heard of.
