Handongs pov:

Y/n had texted her if she could help her at the barn after work. Handong agreed and put her phone back in her pocket. She was on the way to the Alpha's office. He wanted to see her. It was a hot summer day and Handong would prefer to stay in the cool torture chamber, but unfortunately, she had to go upstairs.

"I hope he will make it quick. I can't stand this heat." She thought and opened the door to the Alpha's office.

He stood in front of the window and looked outside.

"Ah Handong, I'm glad you are here." He said without turning around.

"You wanted to see me?" The girl asked.

"Yes, please sit down." He replied.

Handong did as she was told while the Alpha was still standing by the window.

"I want you to protect Y/n." He said. "Spend as much time with her as you can."

"Yes, but why?" Handong asked.

"I think her uncle will do something to her. Maybe he will try to attack her or her wife and I don't want them to get hurt." The Alpha replied.

"Do I have to protect the Vampire as well?" Handong's tone was annoyed.

The Alpha turned around and locked eyes with her.

"I think she will play an important role." The Alpha said calmly.

"You talking about the old secret." Handong pointed out.

The Alpha nodded and walked over to his desk.

"Both are somehow connected to this secret. I was doing some research and found out that it is actually a prophecy, but I don't know what it is about." The Alpha replied.

"At least we know what we are searching for," Handong replied and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Am I allowed to tell Y/n about her uncle betraying us?" She added and looked intently at the Alpha.

"I think that would be good. She needs to know who our enemy is, so she can be prepared." He explained.

"I'm actually will meet her later." Handong pointed out.

"Good, now leave I have to think about our next steps." The Alpha said.

After she bowed, Handong left the room. While they talked the Werewolf girl had studied the Alpha's behaviour and she had noticed something.

"He looks concerned." Handong thought.

Later:

Y/ns pov:

Finally, you could go home. You were so tired because last night you hadn't slept at all.

"I hope Dami doesn't worry about that." You thought as you left the building.

You were on the way to your car when you heard a voice.

Y/n? It's been a while." The voice said.

You turned around confused and immediately noticed the woman in front of you.

"Irene?" You were surprised. "You are back in town?"

"Yes, I just moved here a few days ago." She replied. "How are you?" She added.

"Better, now that I'm over you." You replied stone cold.

The slight tone of sadness that you tried to hide so badly could still be heard in your voice.

"I'm sorry about what happened," Irene said.

"Yeah, I bet you are." You said skeptical.

"Maybe we can go and drink a coffee together to catch up?" She said innocently. "I want to properly apologize to you."
