Y/n's pov:

The past few hours you tried your best to rest but you couldn't sleep due to the cough. The medicine helped you a lot but your wife helped you more. Just her being at your side made you feel better. She would slowly rub your back when you threw up and brush through your hair when you tried to fall asleep. Soon it would be time for you to go and all you could do was wait. A while ago your uncle texted you the location for the meeting. Needless to say that you could feel the fear in Dami's heart. It increased with every hour that passed.

"It will be alright." You assured her over and over again while she cleaned your face from the sweat.

All she did in response was give you a weak smile. You knew she was forcing herself to keep it together.

"Rest my love." She whispered and kissed your forehead.

You didn't need to be told twice so you closed your eyes and fell into a restless slumber.

Later:

Dami's pov:

It was almost time to go. All she needed to do was wake her wife up and drive with her to the meeting point. Y/n had informed the others about her decision and everyone was letting her do it. Last night Dami had the vision again. It was terrible. This time Y/n was tied to a pillar but there was no sword or dagger in her chest. She was just beaten up but Dami knew her wife was dead.

"Was it the torture or the sickness that killed her?" The Vampire girl thought as she watched Y/n sleep.

Dami didn't know what the cause of her wife's death was. The only thing she was sure of was if she let Y/n go the Werewolf girl would die. Y/n had worked out a plan. A plan that could save her life but Dami was skeptical.

"She wants to use our soulmate connection to reach out to me and send me some hints about her location but what if that fails? What if our connection is not strong enough?" Dami asked herself and grabbed Y/n's hand.

It was hot from the fever. Y/n had tried to send Dami some thoughts and it worked at some point. Dami was able to hear her voice but it was hard for the Werewolf girl. Her voice was barely audible. Y/n had tried her best but she wasn't good at it. Dami on the other hand could let her wife hear her thoughts clearly. She needed to concentrate hard but it worked. Y/n said that the voice was quiet but she could understand every word.

"It should work in both directions, not just one. The only plan we have to rescue my puppy depends on our connection plus Y/n isn't good at it. How? How can we make this work?" Dami mumbled.

It was a risky plan. Y/n had assured her that everything will be fine but Dami knew that the Werewolf girl worried too. A huge sigh left Dami's mouth and she thought about an alternative. There was only one thing that came to her mind but Y/n would never agree to it.

"But I have to do it. I will not let her walk straight to her death." Dami whispered and brushed some hair out of her wife's face.

The strains were wet from all the sweat and Y/n's face looked pale. The Werewolf girl didn't eat much the past two days and the only thing Y/n managed to keep down was water and some chicken noodle soup. Suddenly Y/n started to wake up. Her eyes had a tired look in them and it broke Dami's heart.

"Hey." She greeted Dami. "Why are you crying?"

"I'm- I'm just worried," Dami replied.

She didn't even notice that big tears rolled down her face until Y/n had mentioned it.

"Come here," Y/n said after she pulled herself up into a sitting position.

Dami hesitated but hugged her wife. Y/n was fragile and Dami didn't want to put too much pressure on her upper body because of the lung infection.
