Chapter 27: Toguro's Back

Kuwabara remembers how Yukina had told him why she had to leave. And how she was thankful for him and what he did for her and Ayame.

Okubo said "Something's really come over him. I bet he's changing his image!" Komada said "I bet he saw a movie and now he's acting it out." Miyamoto said "No way. I say Kuwabara got rejected by a girl!" Yusuke said smiling "Bull-eye, Miyamoto!" Botan said "Now wait! Kuwabara was not rejected!" Yusuke said "Well what else do you call Yukina dumping out on him and running back to the Ice World?" Botan said "It's a long distance relationship! It's romantic!"  As Kuwabara's friends leave. Yusuke said "He really is down." Botan said "Yes. Not every closed case comes with a happy ending." Yusuke said "Guess that goes for Hiei, too." Botan said "Yes, I know. I've heard he still refuses to tell Yukina that he is her brother." Yusuke said "That's right." As Yusuke remembers what Hiei told him, he was also reminded by Hiei that he is a criminal and felony who would rather not let his sister know that. But before leaving, Hiei says "You should check your sister. Doesn't she need you?" Yusuke sighed and said "Is that why you got the fake eye put in? To see her?" Hiei started to leave and said "Nonsense."

Near the mall area

Botan and Yusuke were walking and talking. Botan said "Well there is some good news. You boys did kill the Toguro Brothers and save Yukina and Ayame! And Hiei was kept from killing Tarukane. I would have hated ordering you to arrest him." Yusuke said "Give me a break! That would've sucked!" Botan said "And that's precisely why there was so much ado in Spirit World about letting Hiei find out. He's considered a very valuable asset now. Now you see why we sent Hiei with the videotape! Just to keep him distracted!" Yusuke said "Are all you people in charge of Spirit World just stupid? What if he'd looked at the tape, ever think about that?" Botan said "Maybe! But the fact of the matter is, he didn't! So ha!" As she slapped him in the back of his head. Botan said "Enjoy your shopping!" Yusuke said "What?" Keiko said "Yusuke! Yeah, hey!" As he turned to see Keiko and Ayame. Ayame said "It took you long enough, bro." As she ran to him and hugged him. Keiko said "You're late!" Ayame said "He sure is!" As Ayame slapped her brother in the back of his head. Yusuke said "Ah!! What was that for, Ayame?" As he looks at his sister, she says "I'm going to hang with mom. Bye!" As she ran off.

In Spirit World

Botan said "Here I am! With another successful case from my best project!" Koenma said "Thank you, Botan. You're priceless." Botan said "I must admit I was about to give you a couple of black eyes. Seems like you're always putting Yusuke up against people he shouldn't be able to beat, just to see what will happen!" Koenma said" That's just a result of your inexperience, Botan. You underestimate his true potential. Why I'd never put him in a fight, I didn't know he could win!" Botan said "That's incredible sir! You knew all along??" Koenma said "You betcha!" Blue Ogre said "Um, Koenma Sir? What should we do with the black suit and eulogy I wrote for Yusuke's funeral?" Botan looked at Koenma with a killer look. Koenma laughed nervously and said "Well you know, a good leader's always got to take a few precautions!" Botan grabbed Koenma and said "Big liar!" Koenma said "Hey come on now, everything turned out good in the end, didn't it?" Botan said " hmph! Maybe next time, I'll let Ayame deliver the news and you can tell her the same." Koenma had a depiction of Ayame when she's mad. Koenma started sweating profusely and said "No! I'll tell the truth next time!" Then, an Ogre busted in and said "Sir! About the Toguro Brothers! It's unbelievable!!" Botan said "What?" As Red Ogre stuck the tape into the VCR, he said "Sorry sir, we accidentally left the tape running after the battle." Koenma said "So, what's your point?" Red Ogre said "Just watch!!" As they watched, The Toguro Brothers got up without a single scratch or gash on them. Koenma said "What?! What is this?! They're supposed to be dead!!!" Blue Ogre said "Be quiet, Sir." They watched as Toguro and Sakyo planned out the whole fight. They wanted to test Yusuke and Kuwabara's abilities and Sakyo didn't want anything to do with either Yukina or Ayame. So, they also want Yusuke and Kuwabara to fight in the Dark Tournament, so Toguro can fight them again. As Sakyo left, he told Toguro to take care of Tarukane. Which Toguro did, by kicking Tarukane's head off of his neck. Botan exclaimed and asks "What are we going to do Koenma?! They're after Yusuke!" Koenma said "Yes, and they will no doubt entice him to fight in this competition." Botan said "But you know how these fights will be!!" Koenma said "Botan, contact Ayame." Botan said "Right away, Sir!" As Botan get on her broom and flies out of Spirit World. She calls Ayame on the Communication Mirror
