Chapter 33: Stumbling Warrior

As Yusuke and Chu stood in the ring, a demon said "It's leader vs leader!!" Another demon said "Yes! Blood! Blood!" More demons said "Kill Urameshi! Kill him for us all!!" Koto said "This is so exciting! I've never heard such an uproar an early fight! I can't hear myself! I could say horrible things and no one would know it!" Koto said "Ever so slowly the crowd is calming down. And it seems the same for Chu. Why--his previously glazed-over eyes could almost be called sober!" Botan said "Suddenly I fear this Chu won't be so easy. " Kuwabara said "Yeah, I hear ya."

Chu said "You know. I've heard lots about you. Course, I think you are just a scared little kid who gets lucky." Yusuke gets angry. Chu said "Now, now. Try to loosen up." Shizuru said "It's going to be hard for Yusuke to survive this one." Keiko asked "Why do you say that?" Shizuru said "Well it's just a hunch. But, mine are usually right." Keiko looked worried. Koenma said "The boy has become Genkai's apprentice, and he's undergone her training two times now. But up to now we haven't seen it's results. Surely he must have learned her special technique." Blue Ogre said "Oh that's right, you mean her Spirit Wave?" Koenma said "Of course I... Hey! How can you be chowing down during such a crucial moment for our team!" Koenma snatched the food from Blue Ogre and said "Obviously I'll have to confiscate it!!" As Koenma ate the food, Blue Ogre says "Please Koenma Sir! I brought that from home!" Koenma said "Bad Ogre! Bad!"

Koto said "Let's the battle begin!!" Chu powers up, Kurama thought "At last he shows himself. I've never sensed Spirit energy of this kind!" Chu told Yusuke "Watch carefully....I want to know what you think of my stumbling little feet." As Chu started to move irregularly, Yusuke said "What the--?" Chu moved fast. Kuwabara said "That guy's fast." Kurama said "Notice how his body flows." Hiei said "Yes, and his speed only adds to the problem. Good luck trying to hit him." Ayame thought "I can't even keep up with his movements! With his energy, I feel that my master said energy like that was forbidden from being too intense." The masked fighter stared seriously at the fight. Rinku said "Finally! Chu's started acting serious!" As Chu kept moving around, Koto rubbed her eyes and said "Wow, people. I guess the loon has talent after all! His moves are so fast and bizarre, I can't even tell where he is!!"

Yusuke thought "Focus, Yusuke. You've gotta find this guy." Ayame thought "Damn it! I wish I could do something to help Yusuke." As Chu up behind, he threw a punch but Yusuke stopped it with his arm. Chu grin and said, "Here, have another." As he punched Yusuke in his stomach, Yusuke went flying. Hiei thought, "Five? Impressive." As Yusuke flew to close to the side the ring, Chu hit Yusuke with the back of his arm in the ring's floor. Koto said, "Even from this killer view, I couldn't track Chu's strange moves but I suspect we have missed some of Yusuke's fantastic agony. Let's double check with our slow-motion instance replay feature!" As the scoreboard changes, it showed Yusuke getting punched in the stomach five times and then hit in the back of the neck. Koto said, "That was amazing painful, don't you think?!" Ayame thought, "I must admit I didn't see the punches but I could hear them as clear as day." Botan said, "Quite a beating." Kuwabara said, "Yeah, he's not even fighting back." Kurama thought, "No, I wouldn't exactly say that." Ayame sighed and thought, "Still, if Yusuke didn't use his hand to defend against that five punch blow, he would've been a goner." Chu walks over to Yusuke and said, "Had enough, have you?" Yusuke heard Chu and sprung up like a chicken and said, "Of course not! This game is just begun." As he tried to throw punch after punch at Chu, Chu kept dodging like it was nothing. Yusuke said, "What the hell is with this guy?!" As he kept punching, Yusuke said, "Would you stop jiggling?" As Chu kept going, he threw a punch but Yusuke pushed it aside. Then, Chu appeared behind Yusuke and punched Yusuke in his face repeatedly. Yusuke stops and spits and says, "Damn." As he rushes towards Chu, he starts punching but none of them make contact with his body.

Kuwabara said, "Try using your feet or your elbows. He wouldn't expect that." Yusuke kept punching and said to Kuwabara, "Kuwabara, do me a favor and shut the hell up!" He kept punching until he finally made contact with Chu's face. Kuwabara said, "Oh yeah!" Ayame thought, "He got a hit but will he be able to do anything else?" As Chu fell to the ground, his body disappeared. Then, Chu appeared behind Yusuke and kicked Yusuke with full force out of the ring. Koto said, "My, such a delicious attack. I wish we had time to watch every blow on the instance replay screen, satisfied to say Yusuke Urameshi has been buried in a pile of rubble!" Kuwabara flinched back and said, "Uh, did everyone else feel that? Chu must be five times stronger then that brat I went up against. Oh, we're in some trouble." Chu started to fumble as he burped and sat down in the ring. Chu said, "Aye foxy, give me a hand." He snatched the mic from Koto and said, "Right! I still need another one!" Koto said, "Let me translate again, as with all consuming fighters, Chu gets more effective when he drinks. I advise he wants us to wait patiently for him to build up his clumsiness." As Chu yanks the girl down, he rubs her head and says, "Exactly!" Gondawara said, "As Chu listed as the alternate, it would be so easy to over look this team." He chuckles and said, "Perfect way to scam the other gamblers, hypothetical of course."
