today is halloween and i canceled all the plans i had to go spend the day with my mom again. kendrick has been worried about me because it's like i repeat the same thing every day. shower,hospital, eat, come home, sleep.

he thinks i should take today to give myself a break but i need to spend every little second i can with her if the worse come.

i grabbed my keys and opened my front door to see a package with a envelope on the top of it on my doorstep.

i looked around before picking it up.

i closed the door and got into my car and putting the package in the seat any opening the envelope. i pulled the paper out then opened it.

hey you haven't been returning anyones phone calls and we're worried about you... i'm worried about you, kendrick said that you were slowly shutting down and i don't want that for you, i'm having a halloween get together at my house. if you agree to it i got you a costume that's what the package is, i hope you say yes. i just want to make sure you're okay.

i sighed and put the note back the envelope and folded it so it fit in my pocket. i started the car up and started my journey to the hospital.

" and then you fell off that big ole bike because you were being hardheaded" my mom laughed and i joined her.

" listen i had to do it ma the dared me for 20$ " i said.

" and did you get that money" she asked raising her eyebrow at me.

" not the point of the story" i said changing the subject and laughing again.

we quieted down a bit before my mom spoke up again.

" baby you know i love you but why aren't you spending halloween with your friends" she asked.

" because my day one is in this hospital bed" i said.

" y/n don't tell me"

i sighed " i canceled all my plans"

" that's the fourth time this week y/n... i don't want you moping around like you were when you were 17 y/n" she said.

" ma-"

" no you spent all your time at the hospital with me and the night you and lani broke up was on halloween because you missed your special halloween date you two planned out for weeks" she said upset.

" i just want to spend as much time as i can with you"

" but you're pushing people away in the mist y/n" she said sighing.

i sighed pulling the envelope out my pocket.

" somehow kehlani left this at more door" i said handing it to her.

she opened it and read it then gave it back to me.

" go" she said.

" what"

" y/f/n she obviously cares about you enough to do this so the least you can do is go" she said looking at me.

" ma-"

" y/n stop letting the fact that you made a mistake stop you from at least becoming friends with the girl, you obviously still care about them"

" no i don't" i said.

she raised her eyebrow at me.

" okay i do and"

" and you can at least show up to make up for what happened years ago and to formally apologize to the girl" she said.
