I smiled waiting in the long ass Walmart line. I don't know I'm so happy but maybe it has everything to do with me being back home. I love being back in Chicago.

This weekend makes another year of my brother being off this earth. I came down here and Trent and I will have a party on his block.

"Ari" I turned around "girl I knew that was you" he open his arms and I raised my eyebrow "that shit is the past"

"I just don't want a hug" I say

"You still mean as fuck" he laugh but I didn't find anything funny

Micah was my boyfriend from sixteen to eighteen which means he did in fact take my virginity. He really didn't start running the streets until like a year into our relationship. Kyle approved because Micah still went to school and he treated me good. Until his mom died. He started doing drugs and just acting an ass. Kyle was going to kill him but I literally begged and pleaded. I just had to leave him alone

"Just not friendly" I say

"Heard that" Micah smile "you look good though"

"Thank you" I say

"Don't be a stranger" boy fuck you

He walked off and I watched him. You know when you see your ex and you just can't believe you did that stupid ass shit? Yeah that's him.

Finally I was out of Walmart and my phone started ringing "hello" It's Katorah

"I told you that scamming shit does not look good on my background" Kay say "everybody got mad that I ain't remove the murder charges but look at me. Can't even go to this dumb ass bank. Imma rob em"

"I'm in public" I say waiting for her to look at the screen

"Ion give a fuck" Kay say "look at this couch, you like it"

She just got her own place because she can not live with me. Now that we're in a relationship that's just a little too damn fast for me. Even if she's hardly at her place or I'm hardly at mine we have our own space when we piss each other off.

"Your bed is already black" I say "everything don't gotta be black"

"You want me to get red or something" Kay say "look at this NY blanket. Imma get it" this bitch love her state

"Are you going to New York with your mom" I ask

"How you know my mama going to New York" Kay ask

"She told me" I say

"I think imma go, you going" Kay ask

"Wasn't invited" I say

"Anywhere I go you invited" Kay say "imma get this couch"

"That couch is ugly" I say "and the trimming is gold and the lmao you got is silver"

"When you coming home" Kay ask

"Tomorrow" I say

"Well you can do it" Kay say "and yo dumb ass friend came over here looking for you"

"Tae" Kay say

We still haven't been talking but he knows damn well I never miss my Chicago trip around this time. "Y'all got into it"

"Of course" Kay say "I want to kill him so bad"

I got in my rental and started it "well you can't and won't" he's still my best friend at the end of the day.
