The halls of Casterly Rock had been filled with squeals, laughter and joy the whole afternoon. Two young children enjoying their time together. Enjoying their friendship. Enjoying escaping from their Maesters and servants. Enjoying escaping lessons and expectations. It was true to say that Tyrion wasn't happy very often. Didn't feel loved very often, given that the only one of his family that had anytime for him, was his older brother. Yet that always changed when their uncle Kevan's daughter came to stay. Tyrion's youthful heart pounding violently in his chest whenever he spied his cousin's carriage make its way up to the great castle that he called home. He would race from his room, as quickly as his little legs could carry him, to the courtyard. The youngest son of Tywin determined to always be to first one of the family that (Y/n) saw. The first one that she would smile at. He the one that she would always rush to. Would throw her arms around, after she had been helped down from her landau. And Tyrion couldn't help but love her for it.

(Y/n) was completely different to his sister. She was sweet and kind, attentive and interested in anything that he had to say. She, like Jaime, could see past his shorter stature. Could see that he was just like everyone else. That he wasn't a monster. A freak. That he was important. And even though she was a little younger than Tyrion. (Y/n) was the only one that would ever defend him if Cersei felt the need to berate her younger brother. The only one that could make the lioness think of other things, when she took it upon herself to tell Tyrion that no one would miss him if he were gone. If he were dead.

Whenever they got the chance, Tyrion and (Y/n) would run off together. Much to the annoyance of their maester's. The two preferring to explore the rockpools and caves far below the great castle than sit for lessons. Preferring to sit and fish while they spoke about what they had been doing during their time apart. About all the new things that they had learnt, and their thoughts on the world. The duo even sometimes venturing into Lannisport. Racing in and out of the market stalls in the bustling port, pretending that they were just like the smallfolk that also called the city home.

Yet recently, something had changed. It wasn't that they spent any less time together. It wasn't that they didn't laugh and cause as much trouble as they always had. It was more that Tyrion had realised that he didn't just love (Y/n) because she was his cousin. He didn't just love her because she was really the only one that had ever shown him any affection. He now loved her because he loved her. He loved (Y/n). With all his heart, he loved her. She had blossomed since she had last been at Casterly Rock. It now obvious that the little lioness was no longer a girl, but a woman. And since she had arrived back at the family seat, Tyrion had found that he hadn't been able to think about anything else, but his cousin. Hadn't been able to stop the desires, the needs, the urges that were growing inside him. Had found himself thinking about what it would be like to be with her. To kiss her lips. To feel her flesh against his. To feel himself deep inside her..............

"What are you thinking about? You have just gone quiet. Normally I can't shut you up." (Y/n) suddenly said, waiting for her cousin to reply. The young lioness sensing that something had been different with Tyrion since she had arrived at Casterly Rock a few days ago.

For the last hour, she and Tyrion had been led on the ground looking up into the star studded sky. Both of them taking about the twinkling lights that lit the black blanket of night. About a world beyond their world. Yet over the past few moments, Tyrion seemed to have drifted off somewhere. To a place that she wanted to journey with him too.

"N......nothing (Y/n). Everything is alright. I promise. Now, where was I?" Tyrion replied, trying his best to stop the images of (Y/n) that were bombarding his mind. The thoughts of being able to tell her that he loved her. That he wanted her.

"Well, you were telling me about the stars. About how the stars were actually celestial pictures of creatures and beings. And that that set just up there was something called Hagard the Frog." (Y/n) chuckled, as she pointed up to the said stars. Tyrion smiling slightly, as he remembered what he had been saying.

"Ah, yes. Hagard. The great gobbler of flies. And don't forget his wife, Enith. Nor their sons, Stinky and Smelly........."

"Stinky and Smelly? They must have named their children after you and Jaime. The gods only know that you two have to be the stinkiest and smelliest things that I have ever met. They should have two more sons called Farty and Burpy. Then I know that they were named after you two." (Y/n) interrupted. Laughing as Tyrion gave out a little huff.

"Hey! I'm not stink.......... alright, maybe I can be a little stinky." Tyrion replied, chuckling as he realised that (Y/n) had a point, and he and Jaime weren't necessarily always interested in bathing. And could indeed be a little, as (Y/n) had just so elegantly put it, farty and burpy.

"Its alright, Tyrion. I don't mind you being a little stinky. And it wouldn't be you if you didn't burp after you ate. I like you just the way you are." (Y/n) told him. Reaching over and taking his hand. Tyrion feeling his heart race a little as her fingers wrapped around his.

"Do you think the gods are looking down on us right now? Do you think that they are always watching? Are the stars in fact holes in the blanket of night, and that is how they look at us? Do you think that they watch over all of us when we fight and argue? Do you think that they know when we fall in........when we fall in love?" (Y/n) asked. Tyrion turning his head to look at her. The little lion slightly taken aback by her last question.

"Love? What would........why would you think of that? Why would you ask that? Are.......are you in love with someone, (Y/n)?" Tyrion finally managed to ask. The little lion sure that he could feel his heart break at the notion that his beloved (Y/n) could have had her eyes fall on another.

"I.......well, I think that perhaps........that maybe I am. Its only that I'm too scared to tell him, just in case he doesn't feel the same. Because I don't want to lose what we already have. I don't want to lose my friend." (Y/n) began. Her eyes staying firmly on the starry sky, as Tyrion propped himself up on his elbows and looked at her. The little lion wanting to know more about this "friend" that had stolen her heart.

"Who.......who is he?"

"Well, you know him very well, Tyrion. I think that he's handsome and.........."

"Jaime?" Tyrion blurted out. His eyes growing wide as (Y/n) turned to look at him. Tears brimming in her eyes.

"No, no, not Jaime. I do love him, but I'm not in love with him. The boy that I love is the sweetest thing that I have ever met. He is kind, and funny, and clever. He can make me feel like the most important and wonderful girl in the world. And well.......since I returned to Casterly Rock, I've realised just how much he does mean to me. How much I wish that he would kiss me. How much I wish he would............." (Y/n) explained. Shaking her head, as she saw Tyrion's brows furrow in thought. The little lion trying to figure out who in the castle his cousin could be referring to.

"Tyrion.......its........its you I love. It's you that I want to kiss me. You that I want to........want to love me." (Y/n) added. Her hand reaching out and touching his now red cheek. Tyrion desperately gulping at the large lump that had just formed in his throat.

"M-m-me?! You love me?! How could you love something like me? I........"

"You are not, some thing, Tyrion. You are as someone as everyone else. And you are the most important someone in the world to me. I love you Tyrion. I now know that I always have. You are the only reason that I ever want to come here. The only reason that I want to stay. I know that you might not feel the same. That you might not............." (Y/n)'s words stopped, as Tyrion crashed his lips into hers. His fingers gently brushing through her pale hair, as he moved his body closer. As his body moved over hers. As he felt her hands slowly move over his form. As...........

"My lady!" A shrill voice exclaimed. The two cousins jumping apart at the sound. (Y/n) seeing her maestre stood in the doorway, glaring at the pair.

"Maestre Linster. I.............."

"You will come with me now, child. And you can both be sure that your fathers will hear of this." The old woman growled, as she stormed over to the cousins and pulled (Y/n) away from Tyrion. The little lion able to hear nothing but his beloved cousin cry as she was dragged away from him. His heart breaking as she was taken away from their starry sky.
