Rhy stomps down corridors, searching for Kylo. Anger seeps from her causing troopers to turn away from her to try avoid the girl. They had all faced Kylo's wrath before but what was surrounding the girl was so much more powerful.

Rhy paid them no attention. How dare Kylo order the soldiers to keep her in that room! When she found him she was certain she would yell at him. In reality though, it was much more likely that Kylo would yell at her and she would apologize. Rhy was not one for confrontation. But Rhy liked to believe she could give him a piece of her mind.

Rhy groans and leans against the wall. It was hard to stay angry for so long. Tears slip down her face as she started to realize the future her life would hold. She wanted power but clearly it was going to come at more of a cost than she thought. Not only was she giving up on the idea of family but it was starting to seem as though she was giving up on the idea of freedom.

Rhy chokes back a sob as she slides down the wall towards the floor, holding her head in her hands. When did life get so complicated? Rhy slams her head against the wall angrily, the sound echoing down the empty corridor. Maybe the better question, Rhy asks herself, is when will she start becoming the power she wants to be?

Rhy calls to the force, begging it to calm her but instead it only fuels her need for power. The legends were true, Rhy realized- the force has two sides to it, the good and the bad, the light and the dark. Rhy was not good, she was not on the side of light. She wanted power, she was on the dark side. There was no way around it.

Rhy seemed like a good person but she wasn't really. Rhy was empty inside and power was the only way she could think of to fill her. Rhy wanted to be whole and it appeared Kylo knew how to make it happen. So Rhy did what she had to, she stood up, dusted herself off, and stood up.

Calling to the force to guide her, Rhy followed where it led her in an attempt to find Kylo. It led the girl down a glossy, white hall. She hears the soft patter of footsteps and she turns, glancing around the hall. Seeing nothing, she continues walking until a dozen or so stormtroopers come to a halt in front of her.

"Please stop where you are," one says in a slightly timid voice, as they all raise their guns. Rhy shakes her head with a small laugh. The excitement of using the force once more made Rhy smile. She gestured for them to move out of her way but none of them budged. So with that she lets all her emotion out through the force.

Gracefully Rhy raises her hand and swipes her hand to the side. The troops go flying into the wall and Rhy glides her hand to the other side and they slam into that wall as well. With a little skip in her step, Rhy continues her search for Kylo.

Only minutes earlier, Rey slips down a glossy, white hall. She had only just escaped from her cell and was now looking for a way out. She hears the rushing of footsteps and flattens herself against a pillar.

"She's terrifying, dude," a passing soldier says. "I never knew someone so young could have that much anger." The soldiers hurry down the hall and away from whatever they were scared of. Rey continues until she hears the soft clicking of heels. Rey glances around and sees a small alcove off to the side of the hall. She rushes to it and ducks down.

She stares at the tiled floor as the footsteps pause right next to her before getting farther and farther away.

"Please stop where you are," she hears a trooper say. Rey looks up startled by the voice. Why was the trooper being polite? She looks through a few metal bars and sees a woman in a black tunic standing in front of around a dozen storm trooper with their guns raised. The woman doesn't say anything she uses the force and slams the soldiers into the walls. They crumble to the floor.

Rey stares in shock. The woman had used the Force on the troopers and the emotion that exited her was brutal. Even hidden far down the hall, Rey could feel anger, fear, and yet a small bit of hope all at once. All that emotion had been released in a single strong wave. The woman stands still a moment, as if processing what she had done before continuing on her way.

A nagging feeling bothers Rey. She felt as if she was supposed to follow the woman. But reason got the best of her. This woman was clearly hurting, Rey didn't need to be her next victim. Yet Rey couldn't shake the feeling that she was missing something until she found Finn, Han, and Chewie. Then, she completely forgot about it.

Kylo marches angrily through the halls, three dozen troops march behind him. They were not there to stop Rhy, no, they were there to remind her of her place.

There was a report of Rhy in Sector 7 of the base only a few minutes ago. But nothing has been reported since. Turning a corner, Kylo surveys the fallen troops. Some are still knocked unconscious but most are groaning and trying to stand.

"Which direction did she go?" Kylo asks coldly.

"Straight ahead," a soldier struggles to say. "She left only a minute ago." Kylo and the troops run down the hall. They pass countless troops, lying injured against the wall. Up ahead, Kylo sees Rhy.

"Rhy..." He calls out in warning. She turns and looks at him. He walks slowly towards her as one might walk towards a wild animal. As he gets closer, he sees her eyes are red and puffy. "Why have you run?" He asks softly, stopping a foot in front of Rhy.

"I was bored," Rhy says softly, looking down. Kylo reaches out and gently lifts her head.

"You've caused a lot of damage, Rhy." Rhy's calm facade fades away and panic sets in as she realizes all she has done.

"I-I-I didn't kill anyone, did I?" Kylo tilts his masked head, pondering the girl. The stormtroopers behind the two shift uneasily. Gone was the strong girl who had injured many of their fellow soldiers.

"No one is dead, Rhy." Kylo's gentle grip turns rough as he grips her face. "Have you now changed your mind on joining us? I'll have to let you know, it is much too late now."

"Of course not," Rhy says harshly. "I have already told you what I want. I am not going back on that, I was bored and wanted to learn more!"

"So you attacked First Order stormtroopers?" Kylo asks skeptically.

"They were annoying." Rhy calm facade starts to return.

"And fun to use your power on," Kylo finishes, dropping his hand. Rhy's head drops down once more. "You enjoyed hurting them." Kylo whispers. "That is good." Rhy pushes away from him weakly.

"That's not true!"

"Isn't it? Before you learned the force what would you have done? Try and talk your way out of it? Perhaps you would run? But now, you went straight to violence. You hurt those soldiers without remorse, doll." Rhy shivers at the nickname. "One day you will have to kill someone and that sort of reaction will not be tolerated. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Kylo."

"Good. Let's get you back to the training room." Kylo gestures for Rhy to follow him. Rhy's shoulders slump and she trails after him slowly.

"I don't want to be a prisoner," Rhy whispers softly. Kylo turns and looks at her.

"You are not a prisoner, Rhy. I will never imprison you," he says kindly. Rhy looks thoughtfully before nodding.

"Promise?" Under his helmet, Kylo smiles.

"I promise."
