I hope everything is alright.

I close my journal and set aside on my desk.

I like to write when the day came to an end. The lights were so pretty. The view was overall pretty great.

I kept checking on the box. I was stuck on reply as I opened and closed the box. The pile of my letters laid there just as I left them.

Ezra was worrying me.

I haven't heard from him in almost a month.

I set the box aside on my nightstand as I finally got into bed.

My time in New York was coming to an end. So far, our team has put out six issues. I've never felt so accomplished in my life.

I wish I could tell my friends and family everything. Like the first time I saw my letter from the editor on the first page.

It's like I should frame it once I get ...

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

It was almost midnight, who the hell was at my door at this hour.

Another knock, this time more abruptly.

I got up from the couch when the door suddenly burst wide open.

A strange man appeared at the doorway.

I immediately readied my wand, but he charged for me. Suddenly his hand was around my neck as he pushed me to the wall.

"Where is it?!" he screamed.

"What!" I gasped.

"The locket" he said.

The locket? What locket?

"Where the hell is the damn locket Black?" he said.

"I...don't..." I struggled as I tried to pry his hand open.

He looks around and stared at my wardrobe.

He changed his position as he grabbed my hair and pulled me to the wardrobe.

"Which one is his? Regulus'?" he asked.

"The black one," I struggled as the tears ran down my face.

"Stupefy"

And then the man fell on the floor.

I looked to the doorway and Ben was standing there with his wand in his hand.

"Ben" I whispered in a shaky voice.

"Oh god Vera," he said as he dropped to his knees beside me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

He cupped my face inspecting for injuries.

"Vera are you hurt?" he asked.

I shook my head as I gently pushed his hands away.

"Ben, what are you doing here?" I asked once more.

"Vera, you've got to listen to me. You need to pack up your stuff and come back to London," he said.

"What, why?"

He sighed as he helped me up.

"Vera. There's no time to explain," he said as he flicked his wand once again to pack everything into my suitcase and trunk.

Then he grabbed my coat off of the bed post and put it on me.

"Ben, please tell me," I said.

He sighed, and gave me a look of distress.
