Chapter 51: Marco and His Men

Athena's pov

Stepping Into the warehouse many greet me with a warm smile. Showing my politeness I returned it and found my way to my office. The paper work already sits at my desk waiting for me to open it.

Starting to sort the files I put them into piles of importance. I see the piles of shipments are due today. "Regianta I missed you" Marco barges into the open door making me groan. "Marco what do you want" Dante sits behind him sitting In the chair opposite my desk.

"I see you don't read your piles. I'm with you for the whole day to build alliances with newbies helping them work together. Don't tell me you forgot" He smiles sitting on my desk.

I push him off rolling my eyes walking out the room. "Athena" Adriano yells marching over dragging me to the side. "Why the fuck is Marco and his men here" Get mad at me why don't you.

"I didn't know till he barged into my office. It's the time of the year where alliances work together" He groans hearing my words. I feel that pain so much I think I feel it more than anyone.

I have to do this paperwork. "I'll send Marco to help you with training. Dante is easy to deal with. Don't worry I'll try to finish as fast as I can to go down and help you before you kill him" He lets out a sigh walking down to the training floor.

Marco eyes my body up and down, having no shame in doing it while I walk to my seat. "I have files to complete Marco go to the training floor and help Adriano" I tell him not looking up from the new files.

Clean sweep now we're talking. "Why doesn't Dante go so me and you could have some fun" I can hear the smirk in his voice.

"I am married, the only fun I will be having is with my husband. Now get the Fuck out of my office and go downstairs" I try not to throw one of my knifes at him but he's testing me. I think he got the hint he walked out without a single word closing the door behind him.

Me and Dante sit in silence as I complete the missing paperwork. Scanning the files and sending them over to the I.T department to file later. "I Would expect for you to be nicer to me. I'm not Marco" Dante breaks the silence. I look up at him with confusion.

"I'm just saying I never did anything wrong. You punished me for Marco cheating on you" He looks down writing in a notebook concentrated in it. I did that. When me and Marco broke up I cut out Dante completely.

We had a really close friendship. He was always looking for my best interest. He was one of my best friends but he was Marco's first. "I didn't mean to, I just didn't know how to heal" I sigh, closing the folder.

"I know I don't blame you, what he did was not right. Especially the way you found out I wouldn't know what to do if I found out that way. I'm surprised you didn't kill him" He laughs standing up.

I stand up walking over to him hugging him tightly. He returns it resting his chin on the top of my head not letting go. Lying would be saying I didn't feel guilty for cutting Dante out of my life. I did feel guilty, really guilty. "I know that look stops it" He tells me, trying to make me not feel bad.

I can't help but feel like that, there's not a way to block the feeling out. It's still there. "Athena i'm serious" I roll my eyes pushing him lightly. I hear my phone ring looking at the caller I.D to see Lucky's name. "My love I miss you" He says as soon as he answers bringing a smile to my face. "I miss you too Lucky" I hear Alessandro yelling in the background at someone.

"Once Alessandro's done yelling we'll be on our way i'm just going to pick up Luciano first" My heart drops hearing the baby's name. "Lucky before you bring him Marco and Dante are here they were assigned to me" He stays quiet on the other side of the line.
